Stressful, fast paced environment, skills required
Bartender (Current Employee) – Westbrook, CT – June 1, 2018
Waters Edge Resort & Spa is conveniently located in the heart of "vacationland" for many travelers from NY, NJ, MASS, and RI. The work is always fast paced, and not mastering your role early on can hurt you in the long run, due to how busy and stressful the resort can get, especially in the summer months.
It can be a very rewarding and beneficial job for some who enjoys fast paced working environments with long hours.
Supervisor (Former Employee) – Westbrook – August 14, 2018
The food and beverage management has a very high turnover of staff. Why? Because they are condescending and treat their staff like peons on a plantation. The people who have been there for any amount of time, work with their heads down, and mouths shut. Very poor workplace culture.
Watch out for heather tapper she is two faced and the knife in the back while she smiles!
Sous chef (Former Employee) – Westbrook, CT – July 9, 2018
Dont trust heather tapper. If she is still there RUN! Other than that, just save your money. They will drasticly cut your hours down to next to nothing in the winter. So you basically just have save it all.
Bartender/Server (Current Employee) – Westbrook, CT – November 18, 2015
Good place to work great co-workers, great atmosphere, enjoyed learning new menu items and taking care of guests. I learned a lot about the do's and dont's of food service in an ever changing industry.
