Lifeguard (Current Employee) - Redmond/Juanita - June 13, 2023
Wave as a company does not support their employees. Over two years working there and not even a mention of a raise or appreciation. Safety is ignored and you put yourself at risk of liability just working here. I really wish I could rate lower than a one star. This place sucks. Work at any other pool.

Terrible Aquatics Experience

Wave Aquatics has a very low reputation in the aquatics community. After working here, I see why. There is liability everywhere. Guards have a lack of training. Health code procedures are rarely followed. Staff is rude to customers and other staff. Overall a very bad experience.

Mismanaged, discriminatory, and depressing. Legal liabilities lurking everywhere, very toxic work environment. Will work you like a dog and treat you with no respect or humanity.

I worked at Wave for a little over a year and it was fantastic when I first started then there started to be management turnover. It was really sad to see people being hired and not being valued management turnover was high due to them bringing people in and not telling them the truth of the job. In this job I worked 45-50 hours with no overtime since I was only at the facility for 36 hours. I was a lifeguard for 85% of those hours due to the low staff. Upper management would give you projects with unreasonable deadlines since we didn’t have anytime. The assistant managers where glorified head guards and you where expected to be on call basically always and if you where not available you had to put it into a calendar so people knew. The communication between managers is horrible everyone just does their own thing now. I wouldn’t suggest working here unless you want to do more work then what’s in the job description and work with incompetent people.Wave could do way better with better management I was sad to see it go downhill it’s got potential to be great.
