Yoga Instructor / Teacher in Waltham, MA
on October 7, 2019
This gym is well maintained, clean, and everyone is very friendly and kind. They offer various fitness classes, workshops, and specialized training. The management team (husband/wife) are very understanding and try to work with you. My only criticism is that I haven't been able to do more with them and sometimes they can be a little disorganized. This isn't a muscle-man gym but they do have a new expansion where it's Gold's Gym-like in terms of equipment. Everyone of every age and body condition comes in and so I feel it's not intimating. It's a pleasure to work here!

Very welcoming to all employees. Company works hard to promote professionalism and great customer service. The staff is friendly and helpful. All the trainers are certified and respectful of others and committed to helping members reach their fitness goals. All the classes are taught by certified instructors to promote a great workout for all!

General Manager in Waltham, MA

A typical day at work includes reviewing invoices, checking and responding to emails and phone messages. Also, go over new joins and terminations of the past day. I check in with the cleaning director and the maintenance staff to see if there is any equipment in need of repairs or any problems in the facility. I assist the front desk with any paperwork or membership questions as well as provide tours to potential membersI have learned how to take on different responsibilities and wear many hats. While being the manager I also understand that I have to delegate certain tasks in order to keep organized and on top of important issues. I understand that being a manager is not only about paperwork but also customer service. An open door means a lot, especially in a fast paced environment. Being available to your employees as well as clients is very important. Willingness to listen and be open to suggestions makes a better manager. My co-workers are all hard working people, from the front desk staff to the cleaning director. Every person helps me to grow in my position as a manager and they each do their part to help run a smooth business. Suggestions and tips from my co-workers aid me and sometimes give me a new perspective. The most difficult part of my job is to try to address every matter in a timely fashion. There are days when there is just way too much on my plate but I know that it has to get done so I take a deep breath and start from the easiest. The most pleasant part of my job is knowing that each day is always different. Regular members come in and I enjoy talking to them. You get to know members on a personal basis. I love interacting with people instead of just sitting in an office.
