Sadly, Wayfair has become a toxic place to work. Managers are inexperienced and given too much unmitigated authority, only engineers are valued (or paid well). Everyone else is bringing home food from the “free snack wall!” because they aren’t paid a liveable wage and can’t afford groceries. Don’t even get me started on the arbitrary promotions and - more... reviews. Retention rates are awful — and they can no longer hire backfill for these positions, so almost every team (except those engineers!) is understaffed, overworked, untrained, undervalued — and still, underpaid. - less
