Act dumb. Otherwise they'll feel threatened and pass on you

I got an interview through finding an ad for an on the spot offer hiring event at my local Wegmans. I applied directly to the website for the hiring event, and proactively called the store to check on the event and confirm the time and place. As a result, I was able, to give my name and number to a store associate, so a recruiter can contact me directly. Afterwards, I heard from the recruiter over the phone the next business day and confirmed my attendance to the event. There are supposed to on the spot offers at the event so, it's a quicker and easier process to showcase your talents on your resume and get an offer immediately instead of waiting for a week or 2 weeks for an answer.

As of February 2018, for an overnight stocker position, I was asked about 90% scenario questions. For example, I was asked "If you were to lead a project, how would you go about this?". Also, "If a customer was irate how or what would you do to help?". Or, "If a customer were to have a question about an item you're not particularly read up on, how or what would you do to help them?".

So, prepare for those sorts of questions. Additionally, know the basics "What can provide our company that others cannot?", "What are your weaknesses?", etc.

Some things Wegmans will ask during a phone interview could be what could you tell them about the company? Why do you want to work there? What is your greatest strength? What is your greatest weakness? Where do you see yourself in five years? Why should I hire you?

Answered

Yes, if in the same district. I believe the hiring manager has access to all that information.
