Great leadership and advancement opportunities
Teacher (Current Employee) - Windsor High School - June 27, 2020
District leadership is good at communicating the vision for the district. Whether you want to move up on the pay scale or seek opportunities for leadership, the district gives you various paths to follow.

Weld RE4 overall is a great place to work
Nutritional Service Worker (Former Employee) - Windsor, CO - September 14, 2019
Unfortunately, we got a new manager. She was more about the bottom line than she was about good company morale. I was promised a certain number of hours a day (4) and that rarely happened.

fun
Classified Substitute (Former Employee) - Windsor, CO - June 19, 2019
I was a good place to work, but it was hard to get a steady job. I jumped around top different schools, so it was hard to get a good rapport with kids. It wasn't steady enough to consider it a steady job.

The children matter - try and remember that!
Nutrition Services Assistant (Current Employee) - Windsor, CO 80550 - December 27, 2018
working part-time; used to be able to take more time off for family than others were. Now only allowed 4 days personal time for school year.
have opportunities to change jobs from floater to assistant cook at different schools, some job openings open to inside the district, but you are welcome to apply for them.
Was trained on safe food handling
Some management more up-front than others in their handling of the employees under them
Most enjoyable part of the job - getting with others for working and being able to share what is going on; helping each other get the work done and sharing each other's lives during breaks
Pros
Free Lunches
Cons
short breaks - wish there were 45 min - 1 hr lunches

Poor Transportation Director to include Human Resources staff
Bus Driver (Part-time) (Former Employee) - Transportation - December 18, 2018
Absolutely worst place to work. Transportation department is in complete shambles! Favoritism is the only way to move up in positions. Best of luck if you apply for a job at this department.
Pros
Summer time off
Cons
Favoritism

Special Education Paraprofessional (Former Employee) - Windsor, CO - October 17, 2018
I Enjoyed working in the school system. The schools are well kept, and organized. The teachers are hard working and are great mentors. I would highly recommend them.

The MOST Frustrating place I have worked..
Maintenance Team Member (Former Employee) - Severance, CO - August 21, 2018
This one the biggest waste of time on my resume, there was never an opportunity for career advancement, any attempts were met with road blocks, or kids no response at all.
One day you're told your doing "great work" and to "keep it up", the next you're getting a write up with no explanation.
Pros
2 Hour Doctor Windows
Cons
Maintenance Management have no clue

Bus Driving
Training, route, trip Coordinator (Current Employee) - Windsor, CO - June 15, 2018
Bus driving is amazing, you get to watch the kids on your routes grow up. some days are very fast between routes and trips. this is a great job for retired persons or a stay at home parent that just wants a little cash when their kids are at school.

Ok for retired people
School Bus Driver (Former Employee) - Windsor, CO - April 15, 2018
Dealing with parents was the worst part of the job.
Minimal hours not enough to live on. Split shift -work 1.5 hours in the mornings and 1.5 hours in afternoon.

Growing school district with a clear path to success. The district works hard to ensure that all students feel welcome and are able to experience the IB program.

Nepotism at its finest
Teacher (Former Employee) - Windsor, CO - April 10, 2017
If you aren't "in" with the district leadership, don't bother. Working 60 hours a week, showing tremendous student growth and being a proficient educator wasn't good enough, apparently.
On the positive side, the staff includes some really great people, highly collaborative and supportive. This is by far the most enjoyable part of the job, other than the kids, which was why I was there.
Pros
Awesome coworkers
Cons
Nepotism, extreme expectations, pay

Day Custodian/Maintenance (Former Employee) - Windsor, CO - November 12, 2014
a great place to work for with advancements in different departments available. enjoyed coming to work everyday.i learned a great deal being in the maintenance and custodial department. the teachers and coworkers were easy to get along with. the hardest part of the job was lunch with 350 kids coming through in an hour. the best part was being able to work indepently and to be proud of our school.
Pros
free lunch to wipe off tables
Cons
a full hour of loud children.

Productive and fun workplace
Food Service Worker (Former Employee) - Windsor, CO - June 10, 2013
A wonderful company to work for! A typical day at work includes setting up milk, salad, and trays for children. I worked with a wonderful cook who was always willing to help out. The hardest part of the job was lifting and cleaning. The most enjoyable part was seeing and talking to wonderful children!
Pros
free lunches, short hours
Cons
No breaks, no benefits, less pay
