Great place with drawbacks
Line Leader/Supervisor (Former Employee) –  1500 Gezon ParkWay SWSeptember 8, 2018
The environment is fast paced, and mechanical aptitude is a must need.

First few pay raises will come in well, but you will be capped off within 3-5 years.

Some leadership positions will come with hard work and dedication, but nepotism creates a glass ceiling. Family orientation is inappropriate at corporate level.
Pros
free lunches, Dental, Stock-options
Cons
nepotism

Don't ask for help or it will screw you over
Transmission rebuilder (Former Employee) –  Grandville miDecember 15, 2017
I started here and was looking forward to working here. It seems like a good company at first. They have line leaders which are supposed to lead the line. Well all mine did was have a bad attitude when I asked a question. I made it there 9 days. It was a very dirty job they just wanted someone to do their dirty work so the higher up people can stay clean. Most of the people stand around and dont do anything while you work
Pros
Free lunch if sales are met
Cons
1 pay raise per year, no health insurance for 60 days. Have to buy your own tools.

Great place to work
Rebuilder/Techician (Former Employee) –  Grand Rapids, MIDecember 8, 2017
Typical day consisted of rebuilding valve bodies in the Allison department. Tear down, rebuild, run vb to get correct RPMs. Laid back environment, awesome co-workers, bosses. Lots of room for advancement/learning new things. Lunch once a month when sales are met. Random gifts given. Weller truly cares about its employees. I loved my time at Weller and would recommend it as a great place to work.
Pros
Relaxed enviromemt, Coworkers, Bosses, Benefits, Room for advancement, Lunches once a month when sales are met
Cons
Health care is a bit expensive

Rebuilder/Techician (Current Employee) –  Grand Rapids, MIMay 26, 2017
Work gets done, but it's relaxed enough to chat with others and have a good time.
Management could be a little more involved in some areas, but overall pretty good.
Pros
Free company lunches when monthly sales goals are met

Dead end job
Rebuilder (Former Employee) –  Wyoming, MIJune 22, 2016
Your day will consist of watching people stand around and do nothing and recieve a paycheck. No one is held accountable including the worthless management. Work hard and meet the goals daily that are set for your perticular work cell and guess what! You get the same lowball raise that the people that contribute nothing get.Favoritism is number 1, people who have no business being promoted excell and get put in job positions they have no business being in. The general manager is the laziest person I have ever met. Wasted 4yrs of my life in this dump. Look elsewhere you deserve better.
Pros
Just show up everyday and they will pay you
Cons
You work at OOH WELLER!
