Your workplace is a good as you are
Management (Current Employee) –  CoronaMarch 15, 2019
Wellington Foods as been a great place to work for me. Majority of the staff here is very supportive and fun to work with. The company is undergoing many changes, mainly on the management and quality side which are definite improvements. New people are being hired regularly and the company is very open to new ideas and changes. In my opinion that is a huge plus for any company. They are embracing change and improvement.
Pros
Nice work environment. Management open to change and new ideas
Cons
Can't really thing of much

Growing Organization and rewarding to be part of it.
Management (Current Employee) –  Corona, CAMarch 8, 2019
I have worked at Wellington Foods for approx. 4 years and truly enjoy working here. The company has changed quite a bit since I started but one thing that has remained is that the owner(s) value the employees. It can be tough working for an organization in a growth phase because things are constantly changing and change is not always easy. It can also be very rewarding being part of the development and implementation of change because you get to witness the improvements first hand and know you played a part in it.

I consider this place home and enjoy seeing my co-workers every day (I do love the weekends too!)
Pros
Flexible Schedules, Holiday Pay, Vacation and 401(k) and Great Co-Workers
Cons
Can be a fast paced environment

Great place to work
Production Assistant (Former Employee) –  Corona, CAFebruary 8, 2019
The work environment at Wellington Foods was very pleasant. I learned a lot over the years of being with the company and set up the ERP system for the company in order for it to function to its full capacity. The hardest part of the job would be the inventory issues, but working together with co-workers we made sure everything was accounted for. The most enjoyable part of the job was having everyone work together as a team.
Pros
Great Managers

Poor management toxic environment
Operator (Former Employee) –  Corona, CADecember 13, 2018
Poor time management, end up working over 12 hours because of broken equipment. Get yelled at if your machine breaks down during production time. Some workers get drunk at lunch or break then clock in and process food. Management is a joke. Operators get blamed for anything, quality assurance only there to pester the workers and slow down productivity. Some weeks are very slow and you end up working one day. if your lead likes you they’ll work you for a week. The workers are ok. Some of the hardest working people out there are at Wellington foods.
Pros
Co-workers
Cons
Management, no work life balance. Long work hours with little pay

Filler Operator (Current Employee) –  Corona, CADecember 13, 2018
No matter how hard you work you never get promoted unless you kiss a**. There has been times were employees volatile policies and the company would still keep them. But if your a hard worker they get rid of you so I wouldn't recommend going to this job.
Pros
Good coworkers who can understand what is going on.
Cons
The people who are in charge don't know what they are doing, The regular employees know more then them

Only a job, not a career!
Warehouse/Forklift Operator (Current Employee) –  Corona, CAAugust 15, 2018
I've been working at Wellington Foods in Corona, Ca for about a year. This is probably the one of the worst jobs i've ever held. The working conditions are horrible, pay is mediocre, benefits are just ok, LOTS of favoritism! Very limited to almost none advancement opportunities. The SOP changes almost weekly, very humid, no air flow, lots of ex-convicts, illegal aliens, and no shortage of lazy/comfortable employees.
Pros
HR manager is extremely helpful and caring
Cons
Work hours(no end time, you are done when work is done), pay, working conditions, co-workers, management

Fickle management and big lack of organization
Supervisor (Former Employee) –  Corona, CAMarch 31, 2018
Management is having a really hard time organizing the way the company operates. They want to squeeze blood out of rocks using very old equipment that has been acquired in auctions and not validated to operate in optimal conditions. Communication between departments is very poor. It feels like working at an old mom and pop shop.
Pros
Compensation was fair
Cons
Lack of organization and investment. High people turnover

Only good for getting to know how MFG works
QA Inspector (Former Employee) –  Corona, CAApril 4, 2017
This job will be for someone with very little to no experience in MFG. the QA department needs a lot of improvements. Hours are from day to day bases.
Pros
QA Management yells at you in front of everyone if you mess up
Cons
no training if they do train you it’s only for a day and they expect you perform with “quality”

Micromanagement within company mainly by QA and QC director. Very frustrating to work for this individual. Overall CEO is a kind and respectful
QC Analyst (Former Employee) –  CaliforniaAugust 15, 2016
Overall it is a faqmily own business and therefore keep your expectation at minimal. The CEO and his family are kind and respectable to their employees. One man directs operation in the Laboratory and manufacturing and he is not the type of individual you would want to work for. He makes the job frustrating and he makes decision on how employees are paid. Pay is very low and the dude is very disrespectful, ignorant and a bully.
Pros
The Holyday gift certificates and turkey or hams are plus
Cons
short breaks, no overtime, benefit not favorable to individuals with families

Great job until Boston was let go
Warehouse Admin (Former Employee) –  Corona, CAFebruary 16, 2015
Daily posting and invoicing of all shipments, schedule and route shipments, receiving of purchase orders, verifcation of COA, proper paperwork on incoming and outgoing shipments. Verfiy with customers PO and order preferences as well as add ons. Monthly inventory and month end closing. I learned about the energy drink business as well as importance of quality control. Hired and worked for a great manager, than one day he was let go and all the dynamics changed. Co-workers were all male at our warehouse and enjoyed working with them and along side them. Hardest part of the job was obtaining a good inventory in a reasonable time frame. I enjoyed the customers and the ability to meet there needs.
Pros
busy daily. great co workers

Documentation Control Coordinator (Current Employee) –  Corona, CANovember 11, 2013
Not a lot consistency. The most difficulty is dealing with the inconsistency. There are some of aspects of the job where there is no order. And indivuals who won't ask the right questions and do their own investigating to help solve the issues.
