Not worth all the financial and legal responsibility for the pay.

20-21 dollar start rate, sounds good but after knowing the load of responsibility you have that is absolutely ridiculous, they make you work so many hrs without breaks and just a 30 min lunch that you have to come back before your next appt. They make so much money to be paying that amount, also just the cost of living is not equal. Bankers are always seen like people who make money which is not true many retail companies employees make more money then bank employes.

Challenging corporate environment

My experience at Wells Fargo varied greatly depending on who my direct manager was at that moment. I had a fantastic, supportive manager who recognized my contributions for years. After a mid-level management change in my line of business, it was a drastically different experience, which I found challenging and stressful. In addition, several of my colleagues left the team during that time, which only added to the instability and unpredictability of the situation. As a result, my overall experience with Wells Fargo was not as positive as I had hoped.

Great benefits and coworkers including branch management. Beyond the branch...

The benefits are great and probably the part of the job that's most worth it. My coworkers and immediate supervisors were great throughout the years I was a part of the company. Starting after the Wells Fargo scandal I can say there was a lot of change, especially from what I heard from my peers. Over my time there I saw things start to slide back and become less customer focused and more about getting people in and out. Time is monitored, but they also don't push in your one-on-ones, just strongly suggest. District managers visited occasionally and often avoided the entire staff other than the branch manager. They choose their favorite branches and visit and assist those more often than others. Stripping branches to bare bones to staff other branches with more staff memebers or multiple people out on PTO, while they drag their feet to approve PTO in other branches. Upper management sees it all as just numbers rather than people and that's apparent in the expectations they set for their staff.

Good Workplace

Was a good company with great benefits, management was supportive overall of the employees. Had a great manager, was able to work remotely but company is now implementing a return to office and location strategy.

Na

Pros and cons of working here. Pros- Good Relationships within the the team you’re on. Typically uncapped commission. Cons- High stress when in down markets, lots of layoffs, poor coaching from upper management.

Challenging

Challenging work environment, ceiling to upward mobility. Leadership is unpredictable and if you are a go getter will find lack of structure to reach success.

Fun

Interesting to learn a new job. Not sure fit right for me. I was happy to be traveling not at home during the pandemic but at home too many distractions

The old Wells Fargo is making a comeback

Over the last few months they were forcing sales calls on all of the bankers, problem was the leads were the same 20-30 clients every week. They expected us to call the same clients no matter how many times the leads appeared.

Pros

Health Insurance

Cons

Training, management, out of date policy, everything is over difficult

Your team makes all the difference

I worked with a wonderful team with a supportive manager. The branch had a great fun/work balance- and you can’t beat 16 weeks paid maternity leave.

Lots of calls

A lot of calls per day back-to-back. Not a lot of time to try and troubleshoot the issue before being expected to get on another call. Leadership seemed to care.

Productive

Great place to work, lovely co-workers.Management was fair and very helpful. The job can be fast paced at times especially during peak home buying months.

Not good

Low Wages and unethical practices make this an extremely tough place to work. Definitely should not be part of a long term strategy from a career standpoint.

Awesome Team

Loved it! Great team and hours were flexible for my family life. My branch was closed on weekends so my schedule was literally Monday through Friday!

Hard working people

Lots of ambitious people here who are smart and driven to succeed. I think most people care about the work they do and they believe in the values of the institution. Everyone seems to work hard and put in long hours.

It depends on your manager. Some really do motivate you to get better in your job. Benefits are great! 401K match up to 6%. Get all the federal holidays off with pay and generous time off.

Great job

Great management and products. Although there aren’t any sales incentives, they are a great company to work for. Pay is higher than market but no bonuses
