On one word- horrible! It's frequently a hostile environment with no way to escape. No disciplinary actions for the people causing it since management would rather be popular than actually do their job.

Be careful of what department you work for. Wellstar is a great company but some departments makes it look bad.
No transparency, constant dead end promises for advancement, managed by unpredictable culture of fear, employees pitted against one another, coworkers repeatedly end up crying at work due to irrational boss. No end to injustice. Upper management looked away while boss got away with admonishing employees.
Applied online. Then I was contacted by the internal recruiter via phone. The recruiter felt I was a viable candidate and thus, my info was referred to the hiring manager (for the apropos dept.) for further consideration. Following this, I was contacted by said manager via e-mail to arrange a time to speak by phone. Phone interview was very respectful and content filled. She invited me in for a panel-esque interview with the director and another employee. The interview was truly informative and pleasant. No test questions or talking down. Everyone was respectful and treated me as a peer. It was a true discovery process for both parties. I followed up with requisite thank you e-mails and was contacted within a few days via phone. Was asked a few clarifying questions to which I replied and was informed they will contact me with an offer in a few days. Overall - a truly enjoyable experience that restored my faith in HR process...which can be very mechanical and cold given the impersonal nature of video taped submission style interviews and assessments (as of late). Kudos for such a great dept experience from this candidate.

The worst place you could work. When you are new you are not trained at the office and therefore you are in trouble. Never see management. There is no team spirit. Everyone is angry at each employee. Staff push their job on you. If you are looking for a real-life balance this is not the place for you.
