Once a great company, but opportunity is no longer there.
Ware (Former Employee) – Peachtree City, GA – June 16, 2018
What once was a good place to work has been overtaken by Corporate-mindedness, with an emphasis on numbers and charts, and virtually no emphasis on anyone actually doing the work. There is a high turnover rate of front office people as long time employees jump a sinking ship, new employees aren’t adequately trained, and there is a constant push to hire Executive types in a company that is already top-heavy with an excessive number of Managers and Vice Presidents, and six figure Executives.
As for the regular employees, new personnel will be paid much less than those that have managed to stick it out for several years. Raises are typically once a year and average 1.2% to 2.5%. Work can be stressful if you are a conscientious type of employee. There tends to be a lot of playing, conversation, and fooling around, but it easy to get written up and fired for bad work... much easier than your typical job. There is no real communication from the front office with the warehouse employees. And there is little regard for the individual worker.
Wencor is currently having a bad year and there is a lot of stress in the air. There have been a steady stream of older employees leaving for more stable companies and people being terminated for virtually pointless reasons. Someone considering employment here should think long and hard before taking the plunge in the world of Wencor. There are better employers, more stable companies, and better pay to be found in this area.
Easy to get written up / terminated, heavy emphasis on Clocking in and out, little to no overtime, indifferent management
