The average is 38cents per mile. I work a dedicated account and am home weekly for 34hr reset. I bust my tail in the back of a hot trailer during the week. This position isn't like driving the 48 at all. I did come straight out of school and am making a gross average of $1000 weekly.

It all depends on what type of driver you are. Over the road (48 state & Canada) get paid stops, miles, and dead-head occasionally. This can change the pay coming in from one week to the next. Dedicated accounts get paid the most. Starting out you can expect around 35 cents a mile and then pay for stops, and trailer size. Company pays for fuel and truck repairs. My first year on the Family Dollar account I made $43k. By my second year I made $52k. Depends on your willingness to take loads when available.
