Worked for Werner started net ops (home daily) after a year transfer to Western Regional. It was great for the transition! After a year of OTR and 2 days off every 2 weeks, got home late. My daughter & I had plans that were difficult to set up and needed to be carried out at specified time. Signed on with another company on way home. Would go back, and I did in 1/2017. Brought home nearly $1000 2 weeks in a row!

I was looking for a home daily job. They didn't have any in my area. Otherwise I did not mind the work environment.

They work too hard at every level not to pay you for the miles at the rate they agreed to pay. Alabama to NC is not 5 miles. Dispatchers control pay and mile calculations. That is crazy. They need loadboards with automated dispatch and pay to keep drivers. They have GPS on everything idk how they haven't figured this out. Nobody wants to kiss a dispatchers behind to get paid for work performed.

I actually enjoyed working here, but every 6 months some office worker would make life unbearable, and HR simply doesn't enforce any sort of human decency at all. It's near impossible to get someone disciplined, even if they're psychotic nutcases.

They don't pay! sitting around alot. Planning department forgets to make your drop/pickup appointments, so you have to set, (with no Pay) until an appointment is made. Fm's give loads that get pulled for further review. so you just sit waiting on another load. 1500 miles a week @ 35 cents a mile. maintenance shop takes 3 days just to do a 60 day DOT inspection

They were great company for the two and half years I worked with them. As a trainer my pay went down vs being a solo. Some paychecks for a week training was 134$ the trainee made more than me...they said it was correct for my paycheck...but several times while training my bring home was 100$ plus....gave up training went back to solo. Then I was put on a dedicated and I didn't like the sitting alot and they wouldn't allow me to get off account as they NEEDED help...so on my hometime I told the dedicated guy I Quit ...cleaned my truck out and went home.
