Our values are comprised of 5 components that create the acronym "WESCO":
-Winning with Customers and Suppliers
-Safety and Sustainability
-Collaboration and Inclusion
-Ownership and Innovation
We are committed to maintaining an ethical, safe, and environmentally sustainable culture. WESCO withholds a high standard of ethics by managing each business, partnership, transaction, and interaction with integrity, fairness, and respect. To ensure this, we require all employees to review and sign an annual Code of Business Ethics and Conduct. Safety continues to be a priority for employees and visitors to our facilities. We provide safety training for our employees, reporting and investigation tools, and a monthly educational newsletter. We also help our customers make progress in lighting efficiency, energy management, renewable energy, water and waste mitigation, and green procurement to promote sustainability.
Giving back to our communities is an essential part of who we are. Every year, we are humbled by our employees’ generosity. Their charitable works range from mentoring and education to hosting toy drives and donating food and personal care items to those in need. The WESCO International Charitable Foundation was also created in 2005 to help support employees and their communities and well as numerous charitable foundations across North America such as American Cancer Society, American Kidney Fund, American Diabetes Association, and the Special Olympics of Pennsylvania.
Inclusion and diversity are essential to our business and help us grow and transform as our markets, supplier partners, and customers continue to evolve. WESCO is focused on fostering an inclusive, high-performance environment that brings people from different backgrounds and life experiences together to drive innovation and achieve superior business results. We prioritize inclusion and diversity in our workforce, workplace, and marketplace.
WESCO was recognized as a 2020 Women on Boards Winning “W” Company for Board diversity and female representation every year since 2012. We were also selected for the 2019 and 2020 Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index (GEI), which distinguishes companies committed to transparency in gender reporting and equality.
