Good job, poor management
Instructor (Current Employee) –  Morgantown, WVJuly 14, 2018
There are amazing people at WVU, but there are also people who are very hard to work with and are not striving for excellence. It's not always easy to advance or innovate.

Supervisors and Central staff not willing to listen
Resident Assistant (RA) (Former Employee) –  Morgantown, WVJune 19, 2018
While my supervisor was knowledgeable about the position and willing to listen to what myself and others had to say, the other supervisors were not on the same level. Each had their own way of doing things and usually refused to listen to others. The central office staff were not willing to listen to anyone, and even acted in direct opposition to the recommendations of RAs.

Cafe Student Worker (Former Employee) –  Morgantown, WVJune 15, 2018
Working as a café student worker was very easy. I was able to schedule shifts to fit my schedule and to prioritize school over work. It is an easygoing climate there, and I enjoyed getting to know the people there, as well as getting to cook some delicious food.

Student Manager (Current Employee) –  Morgantown, WVJune 6, 2018
Management is fun and understanding. The hardest part of the job is keeping customers satisfied because when the store is backed up people may start to panic and if that is the case they as a manger you have to put people where they accel best at.

Fantastic Educational Opportunity, Obviously Low Pay
Graduate Research Assistant (Former Employee) –  Morgantown, WVJune 4, 2018
The school gives great tuition assistance to graduate students and as a result you are not paid very much for your work, but it is possible to skate by without too much financial assistance (read: loans).

The educators are motivated and make a lasting impression.

Be sure to only accept a research role you are passionate about. Otherwise, completing your work and staying motivated can be very difficult.
Pros
flexible work schedule
Cons
tough to be a full time student and work on research or teach

Great learning experience while engaging with students from different backgrounds
Teaching Assistant (TA) (Former Employee) –  Morgantown, WVMay 21, 2018
Only worked as TA for a semester, great learning experience, would recommend any student to give it a shot if given the opportunity. Grading of exams might be a little difficult due to the desire to see your students do well so it's hard to be completely impartial.
