Westjet Family
This is a unique family of Westjetters. Due to the Pandemic, myself and many of my colleagues are out of work. But most of us are hopeful and still in a recall list. If I do not get the opportunity to return, I will carry a pride with me that I was a Westjetter.

It takes a special person to work here
The work environment is toxic. We all have to wear Kevlar vests because we never know who is going to stab us in the back on any given day. I honestly can’t complain about the pay or the actual job. I actually LOVE LOVE my job. But this part-time job runs your life. New, completely unpredictable schedule every six weeks. No, you cannot ask for a day off for that surgical consult you’ve been waiting for for a year But you can shift trade when the schedule comes out They keep asking us for our feedback but do the exact opposite with it

Demanding but rewarding
I honestly had quite a different experience with Westjet Airlines. They were contracted into our Williams Gateway Airport so the benefits that we received were different. It was demanding considering the fact that it was international but it was fun and rewarding. The most difficult part was most likely dealing with guests who were less than cooperative and having to juggle multiple roles at once.
