Value all of your employees it just the “office staff”
Hire supervisors that put safety first before production.
There needs to be an employee training program. For example, there are equipment operators who've been employed for 10+ years who are only qualified to operate trucks and not loaders, dozer, excavators, etc. They often express interest in learning new tasks but go ignored for years. I'm only speaking about the Colstrip mine. In my opinion the mine is loosing experienced employees faster then they can find good quality replacments.
