Real good pay, long hours. Work is strenuous and dirty but again well compensated for it. Company provides uniforms and laundry service for employees.

Great pay, no life
Utility Operator (Former Employee) –  Concord, NHJuly 12, 2018
Twelve hour days, rotating day to night shift, four to six day stretches with a day off, alot of stress. You'll have no life, but the pay is great. The benefits package was pretty affordable.
Pros
Huge paydays
Cons
Long hours, rotating day and night shifts.

Purchasing Analyst/Senior Accountant (Current Employee) –  Auburndale, FLMay 15, 2018
Great company to work for... Great foundation... Original management group with great influential skills, and would say individuals with the capacity to influence and manage without the need to intimidate, The type of leaders that project confidence and do not underestimate the capacity of the subordinates, always looking to make sure that everyone's opinion is accounted for.

They just dont care
Utility Operator (Former Employee) –  Bridgeport, CTMay 10, 2018
Then workers where very nice and the work its self was good for the pay which was quite nice. After that you had to deal with supervisors that at time where completely incompetent, sometimes anti-semetic and often just nasty to the workers. How many times can a supervisor get away with calling a workers wife a dirty name (cant say what was said this site censors), management thinks it is fine and all in good fun, grow some skin and get back to work.
Pros
pay
Cons
Nasty work environment put on by the supervisors.

Power Plant Utility Operator (Current Employee) –  Bridgeport, CTApril 25, 2018
Although a good company to work for. the 12 hour shift can run you down. Shut down periods and unexpected outage can cut into your family life. Your normal work schedule is 12 hour day
Pros
Good pay
Cons
Very odd hours 5:30am to 5:30pm

Extremely fast paced environment. Strong interaction between departments necessary to address equipment performance, maintenance and operations. Extremely safety conscious, with each facility achieving OSHA VPP status.

You will look back and wonder why you chose to spend your life at work
Plant Operator (Former Employee) –  Tampa,Fl.March 8, 2018
Money was great - and that is about it. The employees are the best part of the job - you get to work with humorous , intelligent people that have it just as bad as you do. Advancement is not a problem at this company but YOU WILL HAVE NO LIFE !! Ask yourself how much of your life are you willing to trade for $$ ? You will end up giving up more than you think... I know I did.
Pros
You will never worry about money again
Cons
You will never have a social life again

Asst. Utilities Operator (Former Employee) –  Portsmouth, VAFebruary 21, 2018
Management was poor. Didn’t care about its people. You’re just a tool to be used. Wouldn’t recommend working here unless you know it is only a temporary job

I was able to work every position in an energy from waste facility except Plant Manager but also covered for him in his absents. I really enjoyed my 26 years career with the company.

Horrible benefits, high turn around. You will never see your family and work at least 60 hours per week at the very minimum. They are never in a rush to replace people.

Be read for hard work and a difficult environment. This is not the kind of place for the weak of heart. There are great rewards for your time, but there are long hours to be put in as well.
Pros
Money
Cons
12 hour rotating shifts, hostile environment at times

Not a great place at all.
Accounting Analyst (Former Employee) –  Portsmouth, NHAugust 30, 2017
People there are nice for the most part, but the senior managers are ruthless. The live in expensive homes, drive expensive cars, take long, expensive vacations, but work the employees for little pay, low recognition and no job security.
Pros
Can't think of any
Cons
Great place to work if you're a masacist.
