SHIFT SUPERVISOR (Former Employee) – 98 sand dock rd poughkeepsie n.y.12601 – October 24, 2018
not family oriented, expected to work long weeks ,schedules change at the drop of a dime and no appreciation. No accountability for upper management decisions. Shift Supervisors are over worked and under valued. This statement is based solely on the only location I worked at not the entire company and the other managers prior to this one that I have had the pleasure to work with.
great pay, great people
self serving managers, long hours, always short staffed, not a great manager employee relationship
Utility Operator (Current Employee) – Poughkeepsie, NY – September 28, 2018
Work is hectic. You run for 12 hours with only a 30 minute lunch break. They've gotten into the habit of hiring people with degrees for the position above mine, despite me being qualified for 3+ years. I end up training people that will be taking my promotion.
Good pay, benefits
No work life balance, hectic, no room for advancement
Warehouse Supervisor/Forklift Operator (Former Employee) – Saint Petersburg, FL – May 24, 2018
Very interesting place to work never know what you going to be facing things change constantly one day you're a fireman the next day you're a loader operator the next day you're using 180 lb fire hose I learned a lot it's a tough job and not for everybody
Great benefits a lot of overtime tickets to the hockey and baseball team quarterly company parties
Great company to work for... Great foundation... Original management group with great influential skills, and would say individuals with the capacity to influence and manage without the need to intimidate, The type of leaders that project confidence and do not underestimate the capacity of the subordinates, always looking to make sure that everyone's opinion is accounted for.
Then workers where very nice and the work its self was good for the pay which was quite nice. After that you had to deal with supervisors that at time where completely incompetent, sometimes anti-semetic and often just nasty to the workers. How many times can a supervisor get away with calling a workers wife a dirty name (cant say what was said this site censors), management thinks it is fine and all in good fun, grow some skin and get back to work.
You will look back and wonder why you chose to spend your life at work
Plant Operator (Former Employee) – Tampa,Fl. – March 8, 2018
Money was great - and that is about it. The employees are the best part of the job - you get to work with humorous , intelligent people that have it just as bad as you do. Advancement is not a problem at this company but YOU WILL HAVE NO LIFE !! Ask yourself how much of your life are you willing to trade for $$ ? You will end up giving up more than you think... I know I did.
Interim Purchasing Analyst and Instructor (Former Employee) – Portsmouth, NH – March 15, 2018
Extremely fast paced environment. Strong interaction between departments necessary to address equipment performance, maintenance and operations. Extremely safety conscious, with each facility achieving OSHA VPP status.
I work as an intern for one summer and two winters. It was a great place to gain experience, especially as an engineer in the power industry. There was always work to be done so I was never bored at work.
