I would make sure all staff members were licensed, for example CNA’s and Trained Medication Assistants, this might alleviate several medication errors that happen on a daily basis, also by doing this it would eliminate the joke of a training White Pine conducts. I would have new hires train longer than 1-3 days. I would treat my staff with the respect they deserve and pay them top dollar for all their hard work. I would listen to my employees and follow through on promises. I would allow my employees to defend themselves. Maybe the employee sees something differently or they have a valid point which I had not thought of. I would not have half of my family running the business because who do the employees go to if they are having a problem with someone who works for the community. Everyone knows staff is not going to complain about another employee of the community when their concern falls on deaf ears or fear retaliation from complaining about upper managements loved one. I would work with my employees and gain their trust and respect and have an open door policy for them.
