House keeper/ compassion for the elderly ! (Former Employee) –  Hamden, CTMay 19, 2019
New management came in and many coworkers were let go !!not a good fit !!! So that’s the”quote . Many times in bad weather several employees would stay days myself included to care for the residents needs and yes we were given food and a guest room very accommodating to the staff that stayed for the residents! Many events that took place the staff was on point. Employees would assist in helping get them from their apartment to the event every time they needed assistance. I’ve experienced many wonderful husbands and wives just great people . Great experience for my compassion working with elderly on a one to one every day. Would not have changed things any different when it comes to truly caring for our elders. They need us for the final years of their life. Every day is a blessing!
Pros
All was accomplished
Cons
The more you worked hard the least you were recognized

Bad facility to work
Employee (Current Employee) –  Hamden, CTApril 25, 2019
Here it looks good and seems like a great place while your going through the whole hiring process wen Yu actually start working there it is an awful place to work . They do not care about their CNAs , it’s more like being a slave than an employee, employees have no say in anything..The DNS is very rude she does not even acknowledge her employees nor residents Employees here get treated so bad I will not recommend this place for no one to work unless management has been changed. The residents here are a pleasure and actually is the only reason why you would continue to come to work
Pros
None
Cons
No room for growth unless your a CNA wanting to be an RN

Waiter (Former Employee) –  Hamden, CTMarch 7, 2019
A typical day at work let me interact with the elderly residents and cater to there needs as a part of the wait staff. The atmosphere was generally slowpaced due to the nature of the clientele.Overall the experience was wonderful.

Could be a great place to work.
CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant (Former Employee) –  Hamden, CTJuly 19, 2018
Could be a great place to work if management would listen to staff complaints or suggestions. Staff are unlikely to give their real opinions because they are seen as complaining and fearful of being fired. Most departments are run on a skeleton crew, with a high turnover in the Health Center. Management seems more concerned with obtaining deposits than the actual needs of the residents. Staff are rarely informed of changes being made, a "this is the way it is" attitude. The pay is average, somewhat below the going rate in the area. Not much room for advancement unless you take it upon yourself to take a class or enroll in school. They do offer tuition reimbursement. The residents are mostly a joy to work for, as with any facility of this caliber, there are good ones and bad ones. Staff from different departments get along well and have a good rapport with each other.
Pros
Residents are friendly.
Cons
Poor upper management.

Utility Worker (Current Employee) –  Hamden, CTApril 14, 2017
The work wasn't that hard, although getting there is the challenge since I live pretty far from the place. The overall work experience is decent and I learned some time management but besides that nothing else.

It is a typical Nursing Home Facility on which I enjoyed part of the team. Days are mostly busy taking care of patient and elderly people. Responsibilities are followed as instructed or within company guidelines.
