A great stepping stone but not much else
Maintenance Supervisor (Former Employee) - Abilene, TX - January 10, 2023
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by Indeed Wilhoit properties is a fantastic place to learn trades at an entry level and get some practice, but the constant on-call-24 and short staffing lead to an incredibly stressful work environment.
Pros
Learning opportunities, good benefits, decent pay
Cons
On-call, lack of communication, expectation of more work than physically possible

Great place to work! Wonderful benefits.
Director of Employee Development (Current Employee) - Springfield, MO - September 20, 2023
I’ve been with company over 16 years. They promote from within, offer an excellent benefit package including increasing paid time off the longer you are with them, and numerous educational opportunities. I have earned several designation that has allowed me to be promoted to my current position. Our executive team strives to improve our work life balance by increasing our paid holidays and PTO as well as adding additional benefits. I love being part of the Wilhoit family!

Absolutely Love Wilhoit
Assitant Property Manager (Current Employee) - Spring, TX - August 19, 2023
I’m a current employee started as a temp last year in December of 2022. The staff is amazing my property manager is the best. My district manager and regional are very helpful. Wilhoit definitely wants to see you succeed they help with everything and cross train. There is not a reason to not be successful with this company. You have a question ? They help you !!! They also offer training for new hires which has been a big help for me. Everyone is supportive I have great benefits and I’ve learned so much from my manager to compliance corporate and on I’ve been working since March 15th and I’m happy to be apart of the Wilhoit Family!!! I’m confident I will be able to soon grow within the company.

Worst employers I have ever had in my 22 yrs of working
Property Manager (Current Employee) - Ponca City, OK - May 18, 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? Helping residents and prospects find homes What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Regionals were terrible to work for. Didn’t care about their staff or residents at all , only cared if you stroked their ego enough and if they made their yearly bonuses What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Craptastic Like your the little boy with his finger in the well trying to hold it all together… not to mention they are conforming to the woke culture and now you can’t say things like family, and children because it could offend someone What is a typical day like for you at the company? Utter chaos then you get blamed for things that are not your responsibility or you weren’t told for 4 months that they were your responsibility

Do your job and it's great
Resident Manager (Current Employee) - Tulsa, OK - May 18, 2023
Company has extremely good training programs. Cares about me and my family. The pay is not the highest, but you would know that before excepting an offer of employment. It's clear what expectations are set. If you don't like the industry, don't apply. It's hard work at all PM companies
Pros
Cared for
Cons
Lower pay as expected

Please don't work here, they don't care about you. The Residents are always right and if they say something about you, you are automatically guilty .

Completely shocked by this company!
Property Manager (Former Employee) - Center Point, AL - March 20, 2023
This by far has to be the most horrible company I have ever worked for in my life! Today I was terminated with no valid reason ,I have been trying to reach out to HR with no luck! The property I worked for was a disaster with no vendors or maintenance when I first started! The Regional was a tyrant,I have filed complaints and grievances with no response ,and I was fired today! I would say stay away from this company! They believe in the regionals but not their managers! They shut me out if ADP immediately after letting me go! What if I needed to get my W2’s? Or Paycheck stubs! Steer clear !
Pros
Great Mentor Programs
Cons
No inclusion, or Just leadership

Management can help maintenance a little more
Maintenance Supervisor (Former Employee) - Early, TX 76802 - October 18, 2022
Reward maintenance for a great job that they do . Better benefits more pay. One of the downfalls Wilhoit needs in certain areas is a regional maintenance man the way they have it set up maintenance has too many bosses all they need is two bosses manager in Regional manager maintenance
