The pay and compensation is good. They often treat us to lunches, freebies, goodies, etc. There is opportunity for growth and advancement if you prove your worth and work hard. The schedule is extremely good, M-F weekends off other than during peak time. The only negative, in my opinion, is at our location there is A LOT of nepotism. It causes frustration and friction among employees who have worked hard and are overlooked for relatives of management.

Pros

Pay, great teammates

Cons

Nepotism

It's not hard work, just show up on time and everything will be okay

What is the best part of working at the company?Management is really cool. They are always there to help you. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? The way the pallets are stacked. It's dangerous What is the work environment and culture like at the company?Relaxed atmosphere , great break room. We are allowed to crank up the music and get through the day. Or you are allowed to wear an earbud. Music makes the job a lot easier What is a typical day like for you at the company? It's a relaxed atmosphere. I get through the day, no prob. These people aren't just fellow employees, they are my friends

They don’t care about there workers they only care about getting the job done the employees can be sick they have to work some managers are rude

The managers are rude have no respect they do not care about anything or anyone once the job gets done there good….. all the managers do is sit around don’t even help when it’s under staff but they are always talking about team work

Pros

the few good employees that show up and help the day progress

Cons

Short breaks short lunch bad management

Stressful and unprofessional work environment

If I could give zero stars I would. But people deserve to know the truth about their potential new employer. Wineshipping has no shortage of bad managers. It's always entertaining to see upper level management being forced to actually help their team instead of sitting in their offices.

Ok if they don't tell you or have a clue about what your talking about!

Alot of favorites at this company!! Watch it for almost 3 years! Turn over rate is ridiculous. Wasted years to go no where in the company. Had to tell them I was looking for a new job and better money after 2 years with no raise in pay. Had to work 7 days straight to make food money there..

Pros

Free lunch on some days of the year, wasted years. there

Cons

Nothing wasted years there.

Generally a great place to work

If you stay out of the drama/rumor's it is a great place for someone in logistics to advance quickly. More often than not, if you show a willingness to learn they're willing to teach.

Not too pay

Paid too little for the job when other companies paid much higher. Management was horrible and new, family owned business so very bias at least in Cobleskill

Enjoyful and great place to work

This company is growing rapidly. With that comes some growing pains but what company doesn't have that. The leadership staff shows understanding and a willingness to push the company to the next level with proactive hiring of individuals to the correct positions to challenge and promote the right culture. It is already a great company to work for, in time it will be even better.

Pros

Company feeds, team building, training is good, work/life is great!

Cons

Healthcare is high, especially for family costs. But the other benefits out weight that.

Not recommended. understaffed, overworked, and under paid

When I first started working here I truly enjoyed it. things seemed like they were picking up nicely, and then once covid started hitting the US things got extremely busy. We kept going through, everyone putting in insane amounts of effort trying to meet the sometimes unreasonable goals set by management and higher ups.For those first several months of covid era we were getting plenty of hours and weekly bonuses for attendance and just being there to help. But things have progressively gotten worse as we keep losing more and more employees simply due to the pathetic wages offered by the company. Even the managers wages are terrible, and they are the ones actually running things on the warehouse floor, helping the company achieve record profits. But even with record profits and the teams of employees within this company constantly pushing through to achieve the goals given to us, the lack of career growth, and lack of acceptable wages deters people from even applying for the job, and those that do apply and get hired, never want to stick around long. We are ridiculously over worked, and shamefully under paid.the only reason I could ever recommend this job to someone is if they live in the town and don't have a way to drive or travel to a better job.

Pros

I get to work with my friends

Cons

low pay rate, unreliable safety, poor upper management, lack of career growth

Horrible

If you value your sanity, it's not worth working here. The managers participate in a toxic workplace culture. Favoritism is very obvious and nothing is done about it. Some managers are better than others, but others are downright bullies. The work itself isn't difficult and the coworkers make the days go by faster, but those who are in charge make everyone feel bad. The turn over rate is so quick for a reason. No one wants to stay.

Pros

Pool table in the break room

Cons

pretty much everything

Productive and nice workplace that offers a variety of different roles. Hours are very good as well.

Wineshipping is a diverse company that has many different departments that distribute wine throughout the US. It is an up and coming company that is only going to grow in the future. They offer many different jobs and roles in the company and provide great hours, especially around the holidays. I strongly recommend Wineshipping to those looking for a job for them.

Pros

Pizza parties

Cons

None

It’s a job.

They hire anyone, which is good and bad. The busy season is crazy which is nice if you want overtime, it’s mandatory. The pay is awful and below average for warehouse pay, you don’t notice during the holidays because you make decent money working almost 7 days a week. Once the busy season is over you lose hundreds of dollars a week, sometimes leaving extremely early in your regular shift because of lack of work. Inconsistent pay and unsure hours. Pay is weekly which is nice. Some managers are really good and try their best and others stay in their office and you never see them. It’s like everyone knows the problems but no one of high enough up in the company to make real change. The work is busy work and repetitive, but still worthy of a decent wage. $13 an hour won’t pay anyone’s rent in Cobleskill.

Pros

Regular breaks, over time

Cons

Low pay

It is a good place to work overall.

The work place has its moments where the work load gets high. The chance for advancement simply does not seem to be available even though I was told that opportunity's come up all the time. I see only certain people advancing.

Pros

Nice working hours

Cons

No advancing from where I am right now.

Fast pace and plenty of room for growth

Make it a point to learn as much as you can, this gives you an opportunity to move up in the company. I started out as a picker on the line and advanced to linelead within 3 months. Now 3 years later I run my own shift and was promoted to shift manager.

Pros

Bonuses and rewards for hard work

Cons

Long weeks during peak season

Wineshipping if good at promoting within the company if the work ethic is good and you are willing to learn.

Wineshipping has really grown over the past couple of years. They are always looking for a better way to streamline work, staff and ideas. If you are a good worker that is willing to be a team player, learn new things and have good attendance, this is certainly a company you want to grown with.

Pros

Variety of jobs

Cons

Holiday season is extremely busy.

Great company, loose atmosphere and they have a pool table!

There are numerous shifts to suit any need. Management treats you like a person, not a number. The culture is playful yet serious about getting the job done correctly. The most enjoyable part of the job are the people and the benefits!

Pros

Earned time off, pay, location, growth and overall culture.

Cons

Healthcare is a little expensive.
