Picker/Packer (Current Employee) - Cobleskill, NY - June 14, 2023
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedThe pay and compensation is good. They often treat us to lunches, freebies, goodies, etc. There is opportunity for growth and advancement if you prove your worth and work hard. The schedule is extremely good, M-F weekends off other than during peak time. The only negative, in my opinion, is at our location there is A LOT of nepotism. It causes frustration and friction among employees who have worked hard and are overlooked for relatives of management.
Pros
Pay, great teammates
Cons
Nepotism

Terrible
Warehouse Associate (Former Employee) - Earth City, MO - June 21, 2023
This place is a joke, no security my car got broken into there and I got nothing in return for it, they didn’t pay for it or anything, the management is trash beyond belief. They don’t promote from within the warehouse, they always hire from outside.
Pros
Easy
Cons
Management, people, atmosphere, and much more

Stressful and unprofessional work environment
Team Lead (Former Employee) - Cobleskill, NY - May 23, 2023
If I could give zero stars I would. But people deserve to know the truth about their potential new employer. Wineshipping has no shortage of bad managers. It's always entertaining to see upper level management being forced to actually help their team instead of sitting in their offices.

Best company I’ve ever worked for
What is the best part of working at the company? the culture and executive team are amazing. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Teams are busy and the load is significant. But you work as a team. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? incredibly supportive. you can walk in and talk to anyone. no answer is a bad answer. errors are learning opportunities and not punitive. What is a typical day like for you at the company? there is a blur between work and life - you have a lot of opportunity to do both throughout the day.

The worst place I have ever worked at!
This is a terrible company to work for! They act like they care about employees and try to say all the right things, but the bottom line, all they care about is the numbers and nothing else. Safety, morale, work-life balance, all of that takes a back seat to their performance matrixes. The company leadership is the quintessential ole boys network. Arrogant, condescending, egotistic, and on and on. There are much better places to work. Don’t waste your time at this place. Oh, and word to the wise; any company that touts, “No extra points for growing headcount,” you can bet is a joke of a place to work! That’s code for wring every ounce of dignity you can from your employees.

Passive aggressive micro management
CSR - Customer Service Representative (Current Employee) - Paso Robles, CA - December 21, 2022
As far as management goes, this is the worst place to work! Don’t do it unless you literally like to be screamed at and demeaned in front of your coworkers. The micro management is unreal in this place.

great compensation but at what cost?
Operations Manager (Current Employee) - Hazelwood, MO - November 21, 2022
my experience here has not been the greatest. i left a job for this job, in hopes of a better work/life balance and compensation. while i did receive these things, it's almost not worth it due to the stress levels and lack of leadership/guidance. i have not had a 1:1 or a conversation with my manager within the past year i have been here, in fact 2 of my managers have been terminated so far. i was not trained for my position, was "thrown to the wolves" and am self-taught. i have expressed my concerns but have not had any feedback. management consistently ask for more from the people and higher performance without providing hows and whys. it drains employees quickly. what started off as a dream job has quickly turned into a regret.
Pros
compensation is above competitors
Cons
lack of tools and resources

Generally a great place to work
Warehouse Associate (Current Employee) - Cobleskill, NY - July 20, 2022
If you stay out of the drama/rumor's it is a great place for someone in logistics to advance quickly. More often than not, if you show a willingness to learn they're willing to teach.

Not too pay
Warehouse Worker (Former Employee) - Cobleskill, NY - June 28, 2022
Paid too little for the job when other companies paid much higher. Management was horrible and new, family owned business so very bias at least in Cobleskill

Work/life balance is lacking. Corporate support needs improvement
Warehouse Associate (Current Employee) - St. Louis, MO - May 2, 2022
There is a new executive group in place that will hopefully improve some of the issues currently facing individual facilities. As of now, a lack of necessary resources and qualified personnel are barriers to success.

Horrible management
Employee (Former Employee) - Earth city - April 29, 2022
They show favoritism very obviously. You dnt get acknowledged for your hard work at all. They will sit in their office all day and could care less about how hard their employees are working. They let people do what they want a person could be sitting down right in front of their face and they won’t say anything or come in late all the time. You could find appreciation somewhere else.

Burned Out Employee
Warehouse Worker III (Current Employee) - Vacaville, CA - February 24, 2022
I've been with the company for a while, and still work here. It can be a very difficult place to work. Ideology constantly shifts, work/life balance is horrible, Management can be difficult to work with and the expectations can be very unreasonable. The more the company grows, the less attention is being given to details. Mainly the workers, safety and equipment needed to complete the work.
Cons
No work/life balance, Pay, Management

Do not recommend
Warehouse Associate (Former Employee) - Earth City, MO - January 24, 2022
Floor managers and supervisors are awesome and will work with you when necessary. The higher ups need to spend more time in the warehouse learning the process. They will come onto the floor and change the process or have you do something outside of your job description and/or pay grade, often times slowing production then you're expected to stay late. They also don't premote from within. They would rather fire you and higher someone from the outside. Too much expection placed on employees without proper compensation. This company is very cheap and will do anything to make more money, resulting in employees making the least amount possible. Overall, if you need a job, sure, but I would suggest looking elsewhere.
Pros
Benefits, floor managers willing to work with you
Cons
no employee loyalty, expectation exceeds compensation, you truly are just a number here

Great entry level experience
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) - Napa, CA - May 18, 2021
WS offers little no advancement especially if you’re not one of the cool kids. Favoritism and nepotism run rampant. Great experience in logistics. Work life balance is non existent and overtime is required on a daily basis or you face the wrath of the manager.
Pros
Good experience
Cons
Treated like you’re disposable. Think prison inmate.
