In 1995, Wingate Companies founded Operation P.E.A.C.E. (Partnerships in Education And Community Enrichment) at the Village of Bedford Pines housing community in Atlanta. A second site was opened in Boston in 2001.

What began as an after-school enrichment project run by local college students has grown into an award-winning, full-service program for children, adults, and senior citizens that promotes academic achievement, computer literacy, and social, vocational and technical skills.
