Clerk II (Former Employee) – Winona, MN – August 9, 2015
A typical day at work was to first do the State of Minnesota reports from the previous work day. Check inventory to make sure we were in compliance with the State statutes. Wait on customers whether it be Motor Vehicle, Drivers License, DNR help, Birth Certificate, Death Certificate, Marriage License, Genealogy, or just helping them with questions they may have. I learned with patience and self assurance, I can do almost anything. Management always listened to our problems, however, at times we thought they could have done more to solve certain situations. I had wonderful co-workers. We were all friends as well as co-workers. I feel getting along with everyone is very important in a successful team. The hardest part of my most recent job was trying everything in my knowledge and power to satisfy the difficult customers. I felt as though the most enjoyable part of my job was having the customer tell me that I did them good and asked if they could please tell my supervisor what a fine job I did.
Provided opportunities for growth within Winona County to accumulate additional duties due to the level of trust at Winona County, however, no additional classification or salary changes as promised by administration.
