As per WIS Travel Policy, traveling in the company van is completely voluntary. All jobs that are within a 1 hour travel area from you local office address, you need to drive too. Any Job outside that 1 hour circle, you can take the company van. Be aware that because of the previous policy, you will lose 2 hours of travel pay, because WIS does not pay for the first and last hour of travel. (Travel pay equals the minimum wage in your local area). Also I've heard this policy changes from area to area, dependent on federal, state, and local laws.

In Las Vegas, NV if the job is within the Vegas valley you drive yourself, if it is out of town (Primm, St. George, Kingman, etc...) you can travel by company van or drive yourself. You are not compensated for using your own vehicle to get to job sites in or out of town.

The company van picked us up and dropped us off at the office (which may or may not be at a convenient location for public transit). Anyone always has the option to drive to the store if they want but you won't be paid any reimbursement unless it's more than an hour drive away from the office. You may be called for extra jobs if you do have a car, though.
