Very stressful because of the type of environment. Maximum security prison inmates usually have nothing to lose so they are more hostile toward staff, verbally and physically. You never knowing if you're going home or if you have to work another 8 hours after your original 8 hour shift.


Varies. Maximums are pro security. Mediums and minimums in my experience are not.


This department will eventually become privatized because they “cannot” find an overtime solution because their supervisors are as intelligent as a potato and were all groomed like vegetables from a crop.
