Work Experience
I loved working for Wolf's. However the rate of pay doesn't add up for your work experience. It wasn't an easy job and the pay sucks. Otherwise the place is family friendly and the management team does their best to make sure their employees are happy there.

Learning experience
Coworkers were great to work with. The management and overall company have no concern for their employees. Loyalty and good work ethic means nothing in the grand scheme of things.

Sales driven
You would greet people coming through the door and introduce yourself. You would keep those people within eyesight until they left the store. If you didn't follow them, then you would loose your client to another sales person.

Most toxic work environment ever
It’s a place for old sales people who don’t have the chops to sell cars. The up system makes it impossible for new sales people to make money. Sales people who have been there a while have control of the list and skip over people when they want. If you’re a Trump supporter you’ll be right at home because they talk politics all day. It’s a good ole boy country club mentality.Stay Away!!!!!

Too much work for little pay
Lack of communication between different departments, long hours, no work - life balance. Your worked every weekend and every holiday, when they run special sales they are open 9-9 and your expected to be there for the whole shift. Your expected to cold call past customers and send out mailings. Also you have to track your own deliveries. It is a lot of work for the pay.

Great Team and Money Potential
I enjoy coming to work because everyday is new. The showrooms are beautiful and it’s a relaxed environment. Customizable furniture options is what separates Wolfs from competitors and is a great advantage for sales. The team in York look out for each other and are like a family.

Very poorly managed
I was hired by one manager. He quit 2 days after I started. They brought in a "star" manager. Very disrespectful, not a team player. Wouldnt recomend
Pros
Some good coworkers
Cons
Long hours. Low pay. Low commission. Managment team. Ownership.

fast paced, lots of opportunity to move up
Overall, great company when it was family owned. Lots of opportunities to move up if you want. Many departments to move around to. The only negative was the holiday hours. If you were in sales, it was necessary.

Take this job only if you have no other options or are just looking for a basic job. The company is owned by venture capital and has no regard for employee welfare or success.

Fun work, managers did not punish lazy workers
The work itself, while being very taxing, was very enjoyable to do. Everyday was fairly different with the variety of furniture shipped making the job less monotonous. Coworkers were great people to be around, very comfortable environment. However, due to the low worker retention, poor workers who have no business being there would not be fired. This caused many people to grow disdain towards certain coworkers and the company in general. The most difficult parts of the job would be handling pieces of furniture which weighed over 250 pounds by yourself.

Terrible place to work. Way to stressful. Interior designer is so disrespectful.
If you work in the warehouse your supervisor will be the interior designer and she is so mean and terrible person to work for. She’s so rude and doesn’t know how to manage at all. She will yell at you and mentally abuse you.
Pros
Store managers are great
Cons
No raises and barely any time paid off

Family Oriented
They will stress to you that they are a "Family oriented" company, which I found to be the absolute truth.... "IF" you are family. THEIR FAMILY! They really do not care if you have family or not!

IF you are single and do not have a life and like competing with every single coworker in your company than you will love it here. It can be fun at times and lot's of the coworkers are good enough and some managers are actually great ... especially those at the "Gardiner" Wolf stores. But the Wolf people really only care about their own family members that work there.
Pros
Good learning experiences. Fun industry. Catered meals on SALE days.
Cons
Sometime you get NO breaks, Management has favorites (ps: and I was one of them but it still is NOT professional nor fair!)

Absolute drag, but it's a job
It's a job, but don't expect to be compensated. Can't stress enough though that steady work is extremely important anywhere, but especially in such an economically depressed area.

I have been with the company for 14 years and feel that it is a great company to work for . If you work hard you will do just fine. Management helps out the sales people and tries very hard.

Loss of Social and Family Life
Always changing the rules.... paperwork is redicules, sales people who like to PLAY BOSS... they know who they are.... redicules MANDATORY HOURS with no extra pay . Huge employee turnover. The Guy from corporate who comes around takes the girls, select ones out for drinks and lunch, playing playboy.... York Sore.. He’s not been figured out yet. It’s just a bad overall Unfair environment. Very sad for employees who give up all weekends and holidays with no appreciation. Managers make sales handle all disgruntled customers. Then you lose the commission when they take it back. Disheartening and stressful. And the average pay on here is NOT correct whoever is reporting it.
Pros
Health Insurance
Cons
Unfair, loss of wages take back, emplee turnover
