Great fast paced work, Grind if you work more than 3 days.
Pros
Can make great money as a greeter and they are very open to promoting from within.

Good money because of the higher menu price point, with more consistency than most industry jobs

Cons

Also, work life balance may be hard to manage in the beginning

Long hours, but fairly compensated

Manager is in middle school
Management looks like they just got back from the 8th grade dance.

Pay for parking so factor that into what you think you will make.

Manager is not an effective communicator.

More stress than it’s worth
I worked at Woodmont Grill for multiple years before deciding to leave. There is constant turnover of servers and greeters, and you only get hired if management considers you “pretty enough”. People get reprimanded constantly for menial mistakes, creating anxiety for employees and absolutely no job security, no matter how long you’ve worked there or how many shifts you’re willing to work. There is no empathy, consideration of an employee’s time or health, and no room for error. After years of being bullied by management (which also turns over about once a year), I decided to move on to a restaurant of similar caliber where I make the same, if not more than at Woodmont. However, I cannot put a price on how much happier I am now. Please use this review as a caution and consider applying elsewhere.
Pros
High price point menu leads to generally high tips
Cons
No breaks on doubles, unfair management, no respect for work/life balance

inmates running the asylum
Manager flaunted her status. Would often eat & drink costly meals in front of workers. Threw out items at end of shift rather than offering to kitchen help. Catered to ownership visits while leaving staffing tasks aside. Would manipulate employees tips and use payment of tips as bargaining tool. Turnover very high among quality staff.

Great teamwork and overal work environement
I learned quite a lot working at Woodmont Grill, back then known as Houston's (almost a decade ago now). If you work hard you will go up through the ranks (server, check-wait, head-wait, and up to management duties) which is a great doorway for a young person to gain both experience and responsibility.

The atmosphere is always nice and the food consistently amazing!
Pros
Upscale, Great Food, Superb Management, Teamwork
Cons
Benefits aren't great for servers, point of sale systems were outdated at the time
