Wasn't the right place for me.
Woodward is an extremely hierarchical environment where older faculty have more power and perceived value than new faculty. It was an easy job for me, less work and lower expectations that previous jobs. It is a huge private school and the faculty at the school do not mix with each other or even know other people in other departments. There are some - more ... great people there, but overall the culture felt unwelcoming as a new employee. I would recommend it to local Atlantans, because it is one of the better schools in the area. However, I would discourage outsider to relocate there for the job, as ... - less
Prosfree lunches, opportunities for student trips, good compensation, good students
Consbizarre social environment, hierarchical, more traditional than progressive, set in their own ways, closed to outsider input
