Very dissapointing
Field Service Technician (Current Employee) –  Tehachapi, CAApril 10, 2018
Cons:
-Upper management will retaliate if you bring up reasonable safety concerns
-Project planning and management is very poor often leading to unreasonable time frames and under staffing
- Getting the equipment you need to succeed is like pulling teeth
-They never have enough vehicles for techs
-Never get back in touch with you or take days to reply
- Only give calls when they have complaints
- Dont provide neccesary safety equipment in a timely manner
- They have no issue lying to you to get you hired , have had several instances of lies told to me
- They will send you home with as little as 24 hours notice or less
-SEVERE LACK OF COMMUNICATION & PLANNING

PROS-
Honestly cant think of any.

Hard hours and low pay.
Laborer (Current Employee) –  Tehachapi, CAFebruary 22, 2018
At WWS the Pay is decent for someone with no experience but for someone who would like advancement opportunities it’s hard to get classes to advance your career and the hours are very difficult on you, leave home at 4:30am and getting home around 5:00pm with no overtime or drive time. Management is decent but overall not a good company to invest in.
Pros
Decent workplace, weekly rewards(potlucks on Friday, off early, Ect).
Cons
Low chance for advancement, no drive time, and low communication between employees and supervisors.

learned a lot from this company wish I was sent to work more often instead of being put off by the boss in charge the company offers lots of benefits would be a really great company if they had there employees back rather then cutting them down to zero hours of work kind of sucks thought it was a great company in which I always had respect for

Wind Technician (Current Employee) –  Tehachapi, CAJanuary 12, 2018
Traveling for them is often last minute with no time to prepare. Good people to work with, okay management, okay pay, promised a lot by upper management that was never acted on.

WWS is a company that cares about its people!
Recruiter (Current Employee) –  TehachapiJuly 17, 2017
I worked a corporate job before coming to WWS, the family feel this company has is awesome. From the ownership to the techs WWS cares for its people! The office staff is always there to help the techs in the field. Safety is always top of mind for all employees and the 'here to serve' attitude is something all of the employees live by. Great team to be apart of!
Pros
Work Life Balance, Culture, Ownership that Cares for its Techs

Service Technician (Former Employee) –  TravellingJuly 11, 2017
I took this job to gain more experience in the wind industry. I would not recommend this job for a family person, due to all the travelling. I did not talk to management that much.

Lead Wind Technician (Former Employee) –  Tehachapi, CAJuly 7, 2017
This is a great job for those that are okay with being away from thier family. Having to watch out for those with you can be difficult because of age and cultural differences. Also an informative job for learning multiple wind turbine types and models.
Pros
Transportation provided, management always provides updates.
Cons
No set plans.

Fun place to work! Great people, great culture!
Lead Wind Turbine Technician (Current Employee) –  TravelingNovember 19, 2015
The one thing I can honestly say about this company is the office does a fantastic job listening to the guys in the field to get them whatever they need to complete the task at hand. I have worked for larger companies in the past and ended up coming back to WWS due to the positive vibe throughout the company. They definitely go above and beyond with safety, which is something you do not see everywhere in the industry. All in all, I would definitely recommend looking into World Wind and Solar if you are considering wanting to work for a company that genuinely cares about their employees.
