Rides Associate- it wasn't the worst
Rides Associate (Former Employee) – Kansas City, MO – February 23, 2018
In essence, it's a job. If you need money, it will work. The job doesn't take a lot of brain power, but in extreme heat and cold, it will wear you out. Furthermore, the communication or lack thereof between management and the associates is atrocious. That and it seemed that management didn't particularly care or want to deal with situations the associate couldn't handle (ie. a child defecating in the playhouse, a ride's hot seat scalding a guest, a worker having heatstroke). Still, the job does come with the benefits of decent pay, cheap food, free tickets (if you're willing to roll into work on your day off), and sometimes a few good friendships. Overall, I wouldn't stop anyone from having a go at a Rides Associate job at Worlds of Fun, but I probably wouldn't recommend it to a friend either.
