Great workplace

Great workplace. Flexible. Great work-life balance. Pay could be better. They avoid giving raises when possible, really have to fight to make more money.

Positive and Social Workplace

Like with any company, Wpromote can be a mixed bag, but I've had the fortune of having decent clients and a great group of client teams. The workplace culture is excellent (I'm a huge introvert but I love connecting with people at work), and compensation is about on par with the industry (it can vary person-to-person). It's a true meritocracy, and if you're a rockstar performer, you will be compensated fairly for it!

Toxic, Siloed, Poor Management

Accepted the role for the culture, but it turned out being a very toxic environment. Poor management led to siloed groups, causing poor output. You can do better….

Pros

Good training

Cons

Poor management

Decent place to start in digital marketing if you're just getting out of college

Working at Wpromote was a good company to further some of my skills and experience across different channels. You'll typically get to work with medium to enterprise clients. Lots of resources to help you learn processes. Depending on your team manager/director I believe is what makes all the difference in your experience here. I think some of their teams and processes have suffered shifting remote during the pandemic.

Wonderful, Progressive Digitial Marketing Company To Work For

Wpromote is the best company I have ever worked for. They have a tremendous amount of respect and appreciation for their employees, offer an amazing work-life balance with generous PTO and maternity leave policies, and they encourage as well as provide on-the job training for career growth and promotions. I love working for this company.

Pros

Unlimited PTO, amazing maternity leave policy, a lot of on the job training and room for growth

Cons

Salary for similiar jobs appears to be higher with other companies

Decent company with a nice culture

Nice people. Friendly management and it's a healthy company for those who are more at the junior level looking to grow. Unfortunately, I wasn't there very long so this is the best evaluation I am able to provide.

Workplace culture

I was not there long enough to observe the workplace culture. I was let go very quickly due to budget cuts. It seemed like my fellow co-workers worked very hard.

Positive and Appealing Work Environment - The Agency Experience

Wpromote was a wonderful place to work. I felt like I really lucked out having landed a job with them. However, the biggest mistake anyone can make in an agency is settling on a role that no longer challenges them. There were other roles but it was very difficult to make a lateral move so I had to exit to grow my skill-set. Despite the change, Wpromote remains the best place I've worked and I highly doubt any organization I'm apart of will come close to matching their curb appeal. Hat's off to the founders who created a positive work environment that is as fun as it is challenging, and furthermore, they were able to scale it (we doubled in size during my tenure). That is no easy feat in a service based environment. The hardest part of the job by far was the clients. They can make you or break you despite your best efforts. In SEO if you do your job right, but others don't do theirs, the campaign is not successful. There's no way around it. You just have to luck out on a decent account that brings in decent monthly revenue and then you'll likely be in-line for a promotion. The people, company culture, and perks were the best part of the company. I've built friendships that are lasting. If I've learned anything throughout my career journey it's that don't jump ship until you're absolutely certain the next company will teach you something you don't know because a company like Wpromote is few and far between.

Pros

Great people, culture, and perks.

Cons

Compensation is adequate, not very competitive.

Incredible place to work

Incredible place to work at. Very young, tech-based environment. Incredibly pet-friendly, which is great for most but if you have an allergy to dogs, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. I definitely recommend working here otherwise, however.

Pros

amazing work environment, all around

Cons

Maybe too pet friendly - it was the only reason I left, and I was very sad about it.

Results-Driven, Collaborative Focused

The Triumphs Return on Performance: Wpromote evaluates all employee input and recommendations based on performance. If you have an idea on how to improve things and you can present a reasonable case there is a very high likelihood of it being implemented. I have never worked with a more open-minded company that places such a high value on employee feedback. People: I love the people here. On my first day I shook 126 peoples hands and I almost know everyone's name. Open Format: The company feels so open. Everyone sits in a single workspace with no offices. There are plenty of rooms to have more intimate discussions and client meetings. Wpromote feels like a family. Management: This company is extremely well managed. There is a crystal clear roadmap and the employees are informed of departmental and company progress on a monthly basis. The Challenges Challenge: If you don't enjoy being challenged and made to prove your value then working at Wpromote will be very uncomfortable. There is really no where to hide in the company if you are not willing to improve your knowledge and skills. Accountability: Individual employees are reviewed monthly and there is a goal setting session every six months. I was shocked coming from a more lax work environment. Pace: The pace of the company can be very intense and I honestly felt challenged to keep up my personal growth.

Pros

Yoga, Stocked Kitchen, Sports Teams, Eat Club, Free lunches, Events, Super Chill

Cons

Communication still remains a challenge
