Stressful Environment and Burnt Out
Analyst (Former Employee) –  Wausau, WIAugust 3, 2018
Can be very stressful at times and this can lead to the lack of motivation. Position is not what it was described to be. You are pulled in many diffferent directions and it is hard to complete your tasks.
Pros
Work/life balance as needed.
Cons
Management and lack of advancement.

No room for professional growth. Company is unorganized and blames everyone but management. Treated like children and are always passed up on opportunities for promotions

poor management decisions
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) –  Hampton, VAJuly 10, 2018
were not to fair with decision making day which was a day you took off because of attendance to decide if you wanted to continue working with company and if you agree to continue working you can not miss no days for a year. that was just a little unreasonable considering the fact people have kids and appointments or any emergency can occur. so I was fired for missing one day after decision making day because I had a virus. doctor notes and everything they still did not care.

Ill-Placed Mangers
Senior Information Technology Auditor (Former Employee) –  Madison, WIJune 29, 2018
The company itself is average. One of my largest complaints with the organization is that many managers were placed into positions which were substantially outside of their existing knowledge set. This lead to lack of leadership, a bit of discontent that the staff were substantially more competent in their discipline than their manager, and incompetence with making proper decisions for their domain of influence.

Customer Service Specialist (Former Employee) –  Hampton, VAJune 20, 2018
This company was an ok place to work at. The environment was not always comfortable however, there was a lot of tedious work that needed to be completed. No one there to assist with questions that needed to be answered. Many supervisors were unaware of information provided and could not assist agents on the floor. There was no support to complete call properly.
Cons
Went from a 1hr lunch break to a 30 minute lunch break

Opportunity to grow
Customer Service (Current Employee) –  Madison, WIJune 11, 2018
There's a lot of areas where you can grow within the company. They also have great benefits like a salad bar and exercise classes. You may work long hours but it's a work hard, play hard environment.

No organization and horrible leadership
Claims Customer Service Representative (Current Employee) –  Hampton, VAJune 2, 2018
WPS hires employees with little to no medical background, provides substandard training, and offers very little floor support for the CSRs. 97% of all feedback from upper management is negative and followed with a threat of being terminated. No motivation. No encouragement. Its very discouraging! No one is on the same page. If you ask 3 people the same question, you're likely to get 3 different answers. The internal resources provided are useless needs to be updated. I could go on and on. The core values set by the company are severely ignored by leadership and there is never any feedback that would make us more effective at our jobs. Hopefully they will get it together soon but I'm actively looking for another job.
Pros
Its a job
Cons
Negative culture, short breaks

Horrible Work Environment
Customer Service Supervisor (Current Employee) –  Hampton, VAMay 25, 2018
Manager is rude and difficult to work with. The training provided does NOT cover the bulk of things you need to know in order to handle phone calls. Upper management does not follow established HR policies and, once they're called out, the change the policy to match what they're doing. You are never coached on how to do your job better but you will surely be demeaned if you make a mistake.

Completely unorganized
Unit Coordinator III (Current Employee) –  Hampton, VAMay 8, 2018
There is a total lack of training. Management does not know half of what each department does. Supervisors state they only have to manage their teams but not know how the actual work is done. Very few people know what the actual work is about or have the experience to do the work. Management just blames another department for the issues. No one fixes the problems right now.
Pros
Overtime
Cons
No structure, no set policies

Not treated like a human being.
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) –  Madison, WIMay 3, 2018
THIS PLACE IS A DISGRACE. Training does not prepare you for what you are doing day to day (seems like they are in a hurry to rush people on the phones even if it means employees are not trained correctly. My class only got 2 weeks of training and was suppose to get 6!!

They micro manage everything you do!! Can't even use the bathroom unless you are on break. Management is clueless about what's really going on on the phones. Can't reach out to them for help because they do not know the answer. So what are they even being paid for?? You have to deal with supervisor duties because management does not want to deal with angry customers so you are forced to deal with it.

PTO: Barely get any PTO hours and when you do have enough PTO hours all the days are blocked off so you can't even a day off anyway.
Can't enjoy your outside of work life because you are dreading going back the next day to deal with the depressing environment you work in.

This place is mentally draining that you dread on going to work every morning! Calls are non stop/back to back complaints and unhappy customers.

Dealing with Providers from foreign countries that you can barely understand and can barely understand you. Calls are timed and limited to under 5min. This place is stressful.

Overall this company expects way more than what you are trained to do and what you are paid to do. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND ENERGY. I seriously would rather be unemployed than work here.

OCR Processor (Former Employee) –  Marion, ILMay 3, 2018
Go in to work on a daily basis and get to work, which is what you are being paid to do. Talking is a no no while working, the experience for the job was not good for me personally.

that place is ok but the management and the amount of work that they expect for the rate of pay will definitely cause them to keep on losing employees like they are.

very stressful they do not properly train agents. Expectations are too high especially when agents aren't properly trained. Implement changes to rules and regulations last minute.
