Very well organized corporation
Customer Care Agent (Former Employee) –  Lacey, WAJanuary 26, 2019
A typical day at work would find me taking calls from customers and helping them out with their verizon accounts. This could include anything from helping them interpret their bills to helping them order a new phone.

I learned that security is a high priority here and if you don't adhere to their 10 trillion rules on security, you will get fired.

Management is well organized and will not fire without cause.

The culture is okay because there is very little opportunity for socializing and getting to know your peers or supervisors better.

The hardest part of the job is dealing with customers who have a financial crisis and can't pay their bills.

The most enjoyable part of the job was activating newly purchased devices.
Pros
Very well organized corporation, hour long lunches if you got stuck with the 10 hour shifts, large clean facility, extensive multi-week training, competitive pay
Cons
The training doesn't stress security protocols nearly enough.

Client Care Specialist (Former Employee) –  Cherry Hill, NJJanuary 10, 2019
This was a temporary job that I needed to get back on my feet, met a lot of good people during my time working at Xerox, they handle benefits for a large list of clientele and the assignments are typically 6-8 months depending on the team you are hired to work for, they do hire people at the end of the assignment based on your skill sets.

Xerox/ Verizon TechnicalSupport for Business & Government BGCO
BGCO/CUSTOMER CARE SPECIALIST (Former Employee) –  Colorado Springs, CODecember 10, 2018
I got to work with the cutting edge technology. Learning the modules and tools was interesting and exciting.
The contract varied according to the client. Caller's were handled specifically on to the agreed terms and condition's. Specific's for user's and equipment had to be verified and processed accordingly.

The worst part of the job was when long-term customer's were not told that upgrade's that were offered and received would cause them to loose specific privileges of pricing and data that had been grandfathered in for them. Loosing that and not being able to rectify. No solution was offered.
Pros
Learning Technical Support from the leader in the industry
Cons
We would never be hired through Verizon

Poor culture, hiring standard was so low because there were so many vacant positions they were trying to fill fast. The supervisors were required to work OT because of the staffing concerns, causing back up in work we needed to do to keep our teams efficient, effective and happy. Overall vicious cycle of work.

Horrible place to work. They hire just about anyone who applies. This place is super ghetto. Not to mention they are located off Bissonnet so you afraid going to and leaving work.

Lots of on-boarding. The training provides much support and a great team setting which allows even the most shy of individuals to come out of their shells.

Answered incoming calls for customers with issues. Most customers call in angry because their phone isn't working or they can't get service. The hardest part of the job is getting passing surveys.
