Operations Manager (Current Employee) –  United StatesMarch 28, 2019
Positve Solid leader at helm who has excellent senior leadership team supporting him. Challanging opportunities that rewards individuals for contributions. Growth potential is astronomical. We have our challenges to overcome as all do, but we are constantly striving to improve our position and processes to achieve our Mission Statement objectives by providing service to exceed the expectations of our staff, customer's and stakeholders.

Treat Drivers like a piece of meat
Truck Driver Class A (Current Employee) –  Franklin park, ilMarch 11, 2019
I still work at Xpress Global System I been here for 5 years now it didn't start off a bad company but it is now management change and everything turn for the worst scale pay here in Franklin park is 23.69 and they feel as if that's to much for drivers. The supervisor don't know how to route, they over load trailers, and try to force dispatch if you have hours remaining they really won't you to work 14 hours a day and use the long day rule when possible every week, the trailers are trash
Pros
Get allot of hours
Cons
Trucks not reliable trucks

Worse place to work
Truck Driver Class A (Former Employee) –  San Antonio, TXOctober 17, 2018
It was horrible they only have temps working because everyone leaves. I was a full time employee not a temp and they send the regular employees out of town. You can be out there for more than your regular dot hours and they make you use your extended hours to finish the over load of work. I don’t mind working but they don’t pay you for it because you are by the mile . Not per hour once they see you are almost by your 40 hour work which is per hour they cut you off and send you only per mile so they don’t have to pay you no overtime and keep you out as long as they want . Do the math you come out making 11 hour with no overtim. They say when you get hired it’s 19 hour but later throw you mileage, to make things worse the manager at San Antonio is the worse person ever at first he plays the good boss best friend then he’s puts threats about cutting your day short and that family doesn’t come first but his customers do. Has no professionalism at all. Trust me stay away bad management bad hours bad salary.
Pros
Can’t find any pro only if you need the experience I guess
Cons
Hours, pay, really really bad management

Not a good place to work anymore. I went in with good faith the job would be wonderful but as time went on the place became harder to work at.
Collection Specialist (Former Employee) –  Chattanooga, TNAugust 17, 2018
I The people in this company do not treat their coworkers very well. They can't work for gossiping and doing things to try and hurt others. Grade school atmosphere. Management is almost non existent now.
In my opinion the company is going under a lot of people have been laid off or quit and a number have just walked off the job.
The only benefit is insurance and the coverage has dropped drastically this year.

Xpress had a problem with promoting internal candidates for positions throughout the company. Although they are now under new management and it looks like they cleaned house.

Love my close coworkers n dispatchers. Upper management has declined very poorly over the last
several years. I wouldn't recommend anyone to put up with them anymore. Insurance has hit rock bottom as of January 2018.

Operations Clerk- Operations Department (Former Employee) –  Anaheim, CAApril 19, 2018
Company is a typical transportation and warehousing company. In my experience they were more concerned with saving a few dollars than helping their employees succeed. Out dated technology, Poor overall management (my direct manager was great), serious lack of communication and policy enforcement. Hostile customer service calls were a constant. Not a pleasant work environment. Pay was more than minimum wage, but less than a living wage. No bonuses, raises, or growth opportunities. They do offer out of pocket benefits packages to choose from, and earned vacation/personal time (must have approval to get paid). Found it a constant battle to keep clients/accounts happy when Sales reps would promise clients services that terminals could not deliver on. Office/Terminal located near freeway, however commute to and from was long in traffic.
Pros
Holiday & Birthday Potlucks, 1 Hr lunch breaks
Cons
Angry customer phone calls, No bonuses, raises, or growth opportunities

Unprofessional, disorganized management and making money above safety.
Operations Manager (Former Employee) –  Anaheim, CAApril 16, 2018
Corporate and on site management both say different things. Safety is ignored. The bottom line is # 1 and anyone not performing is admonished publicly, treated poorly, warehouse is disorganize, DOT regulations are ignored, management, dispatch, drivers text and call each other will driving. Very unsafe. Upper manager micromanages and put down fellow managers or any worker as other workers hear. Very unprofessional place to work. The longer hours you work (11 plus )the more they expect. The workers are hard workers and good people.

unsafe, unprofessional
