The Yankee candle that I worked for was managed unprofessional. Every employee and customers are treated different. The company rules are different for everyone. Certain employees can be late as others can't. Certain employees are allowed to use online coupons. Example. The $10.00 off of $10.00. Certain employees were allowed to use it 20 or more times in one shift/visit as others were told they aren't allowed to use that coupon. They pick and choose their favorites. Some employees are allowed to work over their scheduled time while others get docked. The manager let's everyone know your personal business. Ex. If you let her know your not feeling good because of a personal problem she tells everyone. If she has an issue with an employee everyone knows about it before you do. Certain employees and customers (like I explained in the beginning)are allowed to use the same coupons over and over again (same visit) as long as they pay cash and leave a fake phone number and email to cover their tracks. Holiday help is given most of the hours as their core employees get much less. If you question the manager about anything you're given an unprofessional answer which is "I don't owe you an explanation" as to how I run the show. Also the manager will leave the store for a few hours for a dr appt without clocking out and leaves another key holder alone.

Yankee Candle is great company and I love what I did .However, Yankee Candle needs to focus on hiring diversity. One of the DM that I worked for did not hire minorities.
