  • For a business centered around families, the organization wants you to act as though you don’t have one. I’m asked to work 10-12 hour shifts regularly and I have a 10 month old daughter at home that I get to see maybe 3 days a week. Creating a better work-life balance should be a main priority of each and every YMCA.

  • Working hours are always long and tuff, just the nature of an organization open 5 am to 10 pm! There does need to be better work life balance of family & hours worked.

  • Horrible if you are salaried. Upwards of 60+ hours with nights and weekends. They should only hire orphaned, single people with no friends or outside interests.
