You create your own schedule inside the limitations of available after-school classes. Unfortunately, there are only so many place you can be from 4:00 - 6:00pm on any given school night. Don't expect more than 15 hrs/week unless you've invented teleportation.

Teachers initial pay is based on their experience working with kids and their experience in the subject they are teaching.

YEL also offers incentives to teachers with experience working with us. Essentially, the more students you retain in your classes, the more your pay is for your time teaching with us.

Teachers typically work with the same kids on the same day of the week in the same time frame. But, each day might be slightly different.

Here is an example:
Mondays = 3-4pm Jackson Elementary. Dates: Oct. 10, 17, 24 {no 10/31}, Nov. 7, 14, 21.
Tuesdays = 3:30-4:30pm at CME. Dates: Nov. 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, Dec. 6.
Wednesdays = 4-5pm in Hillcrest Magnate. Dates: Nov. 9, 16 {no 11/23}, 30, Dec. 7, 14, 21.

Our staff will have schedule options for you at your initial interview.

Thank you for the question. We haven't provided PERA credits in the past. It is something we are currently looking into, but haven't taken any action at present.

Youth Enrichment League is an equal opportunity employer. We have worked with employees of all ages, including retirees. We feel blessed that talented instructors from all over the USA have brought their time and talents to our students.

It is a core belief that instructors make all the difference in youth enrichment classes. We work very hard to find caring, qualified and trusted candidates to work with our youth.

Answered by Youth Enrichment League

All Youth Enrichment League instructors are required to have reliable transportation. Most instructors use a car, but some have used a bus.

Keep in mind that all YEL instructors must have the capacity to transport a suitcase and duffle bag worth of supplies (or more, depending on the subject).

As long as your transportation is reliable, it should work out.

Thank you for taking your time to view this.
