Good Management team
Lidar Consultant (Former Employee) - Chantilly, VA - March 25, 2014
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedThey were an amazing management team and would assist with any issues or concerns I had while I was a consultant with them. I would have preferred at times they were more proactive, I found out information from the firm I was consulting for sometimes.

Great Job
Software Developer (Former Employee) - Remote - November 14, 2023
Loved the work, but contract did not last and was terminated. I worked as hard as I could, but felt used in the end. So I feel I wasted my time there.

Less than average staffing agency: Avoid.
Corporate Recruiter (Former Employee) - Cary, NC - November 3, 2023
Typical staffing agency that will focus on the core group over new employees. Don’t put this company at the top of your list. They are vague about promotions and compensation packages.
Pros
Easy to apply.
Cons
Hard to advance, dishonesty around promotions.

Decent Pay, Decent Benefits
Network Engineer (Former Employee) - Cary, NC - June 10, 2023
The pay was less than I was used to. The benefits are alright for a contractor gig. The assignment was good while it lasted. Contract came to abrupt end despite being told it would go on for much longer. Not the worst place to work.

String you along and lie to you
Software Engineer (Former Employee) - Raleigh, NC - January 22, 2023
The benefits are complete trash. 401k match is non-existent and requires the employee to be employed on 12/31 in order to receive up to a $1000 match for the year. 2-year vest period. No HSA seeding. No bonuses or yearly raises. List direct deposit as a benefit. Recruiters directly lie to you about compensation for a position. Will tell you that your range is good throughout the whole process and then offer 15k less. Job descriptions don't match actual work expectations from the customer and they use this to lowball you on salary stating the money doesn't matter as long as you have passion for the work. When you say no, they will insult you and try to be petty by saying they wouldn't hire you anyways.
Cons
Benefits, Company Culture

Impressive company to start with but lacked in keeping it up
Project Manager (Former Employee) - Remote - November 25, 2022
Certain things like questions about benefits and such were met with uninformed staff that had attitudes at times and took forever to get back to you with an answer. Was very excited to start working with this company but when the job they had me working with ended 1.5 years earlier than expected they basically did nothing to find me another position with their wide scope of companies. They promised to help me get something, I applied for multiple positions that I was more than qualified for and they have basically Ghosted me, no returned phone calls, no email replies. Just Gone Huge disappointment and will not recommend them to anyone I know in the future
Pros
Decent pay rates and benefits
Cons
Uninformed staff, recruiters that just disappear once you're not working with them anymore

Very Disappointing Experience
IT Delivery Manager (Former Employee) - Columbia, MD - May 1, 2022
PROS: -Worked with some great people -Pretty good work/life balance -Felt supported during health decline by the team lead. -VP of recruiting is incredible and awe-inspiring—learned a lot from him CONS: -Management used fear and intimidation to “motivate” staff. -Productivity and hard work are not rewarded or essential if you’re not liked though I helped everyone and kind to all. -Individuals who were known to make racial/discriminatory remarks were rewarded with promotions even when those remarks were brought to management and HR. The person was said to fit “the culture.” -Little to no diversity within the Baltimore office and others. -An account manager had little to no communication/interpersonal skills, making it tiresome to get any work done. Consistent passive-aggressive if not constant aggressive behavior. —Completely unnecessary as we were supposed to be working collaboratively on the same team. -Aggressive and challenging environment to work in due to toxic “culture” within the Baltimore/Columbia office. -Constant escalations for trivial matters slowed necessary workday progress. -Constant inconsistencies became counterproductive and inefficient. -Micromanaged daily and felt I had no autonomy to think or act on my own accord, even though I had much success during my time there. -Inefficient practices-not open to different perspectives for whole company success

Amateur company with no ethics/values
Public Health Analyst (Former Employee) - Remote - March 24, 2022
Very amateur company. Run! They do not allow you to have paid PTO and when life occurs, (i.e death, sickness) they will not understand and will let you go.
Pros
Pay
Cons
Everything else

The recruiters are always very good and personable.
Trainer/Senior Field Service Technician (Former Employee) - Washington, DC - March 14, 2022
I got to set all my appointments with clients, thus making my schedule for each day. I was very busy, but the work was fun. I learned new technology about network printers, plotters and vtcs constantly. The hardest part was performing under pressure from Admirals, Captains and Lieutenants and so on. Zachary Piper just wanted me to give it my best.
Pros
Occasional free lunches.
Cons
No bereavement leave. But maybe that was just on that particular contract.

Stay away from this place it’s sold to you that’s it a different place to work. It’s not it’s just like all the other firms
Divisional Recruiter (Former Employee) - McLean, VA - January 12, 2022
Stay away, management doesn’t help you they sit in an office and gamble all day then yell at you when you don’t get starts. This whole operation is a joke. They have two or three guys that hold up the entire office for jobs. And these jobs are given to recruiters they like

None
Cons

Decent Subcontractor
Cyber Security Analyst (Current Employee) - Maryland - December 6, 2021
A lot of the job encironment depends on where you work. However, it appears laid back and there's no overbearing employees. Occasionally your recruiter will follow up from time to time to see how you're doing but not too aggressive. PTO is 10 days and the 401K match is on $1,000. It would be nice if the company had a TA program.

Work pace can be inconsistent
Incident Handler (Current Employee) - Laurel, MD - May 22, 2019
When we are busy, we are very busy. Other times there may not be enough for everyone to do and there can be a lot of dead space. Very hard to get additional training.
Pros
Good people
Cons
Pay isn't competetive

Slow paced
Senior Virtualization Engineer (Current Employee) - Lorton, VA - March 19, 2018
The contract was slow paced. While this is not Zachary Piper's fault. I did not feel there was any advancement oppurtunity with the customer. I did like that it was a very close commute though
