Sales Associate (Current Employee) – San Francisco Bay Area, CA – August 21, 2019
Better management please their management sucks and need to hire more employees and get a better uniform clothes. And work less labor and stop over working the employees by giving more hours and there not even full time .
only thing good is the pay. the only promote hispanic people. theyre all secretly racist. they over work you. the customers have no manners. wouldnt reccomend anyone especially of color working there unless you just want a quick decent paying job.
Sales associate&Cashier (Current Employee) – New York, NY – July 30, 2019
Zara is a nice place to work, and all the people and managers are nice, but only if you are part time, if you are seeking a full time with good pay, then it is not for Zara
Stock Supervisor (Current Employee) – Glendale, CA – July 30, 2019
Most days are repetitive. No matter how hard you try to please one manager another will disagree with your work priorities. The hardest part is dealing with the unprofessional environment. The most enjoyable part is not having to be there.
Challenging environment for those trying to move up
Stock Supervisor (Former Employee) – New York, NY – July 25, 2019
It is a very fun environment where most team members interact with each other and help each other. If you are trying to move up with the company they challenge you to work harder and get out of your comfort zone.
Assistant/cashier (Former Employee) – Stockholm – July 25, 2019
Very stressful job and bad management. The communication is really poor. I know a few people who had to go on sick leave because of the stress and because they were bullied by the manager. Managers are really disrespectful and rude. They curse when talking on the walkie talkie and they tell you to work faster in front of the customers. They don't offer proper training for new staff . They treat you like robots. They change the rules every week and they don't communicate so you never know if something changed and if you are doing something wrong. Managers don't even say good morning to you . You never hear anything positive, only negative comments. Everyone is really unhappy in the company .
Stock/Sales Associate (Former Employee) – Garden City, NY – July 24, 2019
The job is a cool job. I've learned to be a better person and be more socialized. the managers are amazing. the hardest apart of my job was getting there because of public transportation but I drive now.
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) – New York, NY – July 22, 2019
If this job were not so far of a commute for me i would have stayed but other then that i enjoyed my time at Zara and would recommend it as a workplace and a store the clothes are great and the benefits and discounts are great as well.
I loved working here . Very busy. Not very flexible with your schedule. Good team work. Needs more team members and better scheduling. Quick with hiring.
Coordenadora visual (Former Employee) – Shopping park europeu – July 18, 2019
Trabalhei 6 anos na Zara e tive muitas oportunidades de crescimento e aprendizado. A empresa está sempre à frente de novas tendências de mercado e tem um ambiente muito agradável de trabalho.
Pros
Comunicação aberta, plano de saúde, promoção interna
Stockroom/ sales associate (Former Employee) – New York, NY – July 16, 2019
Everyday at work was different because of the type of customers that were there. I loved meeting new people there everyday and getting inputs and outputs of how great my work was.
Working at Zara it's the worst experience I ever had. Management is clueless and really don't care about anything but themselves. HR is almost non-existent since we do have but doesn't have a clue or just lie to benefit themselves and the company. They treat you like garbage and if you try to speak up, then you get threatened and labeled as a problematic employee. Horrible experience.
Retail Sales Associate (Former Employee) – Las Vegas, NV – July 16, 2019
I specifically worked the one located in Las Vegas I would say I genuinely liked working at Zara’s. The employees and managers were all friendly and made the work environment as fun and charismatic as possible for employees. Loved the employees and management done at Zara’s. Yes management mistakes happen but they fix and correct it in the most professional manner.
Sales Associate (Former Employee) – Costa Mesa, CA – July 10, 2019
Zara is generally a good place for working and the managers are usually very understanding. The pay is decent and recently they fixed the payment rate and there are no commissions anymore.
Cashier (Former Employee) – Denver, CO – July 8, 2019
It was alright working here. Some of the managers were nice and some were very rude. I was very busy outside of work but still they made me come open the store every day and close on the weekends. I tired talking to them to work something out ( I originally applied to be part-time but they made me work 40+ Hours a week ) but they didn’t even take anything I told them into consideration.
Sales Associate/Cashier (Former Employee) – San Francisco, CA – July 3, 2019
Keep the sales floor/fitting rooms clean and organized and customers happy as can be, this is fast fashion! Managers can get nit picky about little things but will help you out when you need it. There is definitely room for advancement and a solid team throughout the year to help you out. Go Teamwork.
Sales Associate (Current Employee) – Torrance, CA 90503 – July 2, 2019
Management sucks! They over work you till you're dead and they hire unmotivated people that you pretty much have to clean up after. Those people end up leaving and the cycle keeps going on and on.
Sales/Stock Associate (Former Employee) – Century City, CA – July 1, 2019
Working at Zara was a fast working environment , you need to be able to multi task and have great customer service. it does get over whelming during sale but you do receive good hours which is always good.
Sales Associate (Former Employee) – New York, NY – June 28, 2019
i loved to workind in zara, nice employed and nice custumer, i was good experience de learn the skills in Zara compagnie, but to much manager, always the give you warming for no reason.
Stock Associate (Former Employee) – Atlanta, GA – June 27, 2019
not a bad part time gig if you like low end designer retail items. unfortunate that it only caters to a certain type of people, the styles that is. needs to expand its size charts.
Operations Manager (Former Employee) – New Jersey – June 26, 2019
Very fast pace work environment. Management is terrible they do not train you at all. I was a manager and was barley trained. They have very high expectations but don’t provide the resources to accomplish them. My store was very understaffed to the point I was working 12 and 13 hour shifts. I was constantly written up because I refused to take on the jobs of other managers. My store director was terrible and lazy but was friends with HR so was never held accountable.
Pros
The clothes and the people you meet
Cons
Discount is Trash for the amount of work you put in. Management and HR just throw them away
