CLAIMS ANALYST (Current Employee) – Atlanta, GA – October 25, 2018
The culture sucks, largely due to management and clique-like behavior. Company cares all about profits and little about employees. They brag about how much money they make and how fast we are growing, while cutting profit sharing in a tacky manner. For certain departments, its difficult to afford living off of the pay, especially if you are entry level, which is terrible considering how much money the company is earning.
Servant (Current Employee) – Clearwater, FL – March 9, 2019
If you still apply for a job at Zelis Payments or Zelis Healthcare after reading the reviews on here and other job boards GD then you deserve everything you will get. The culture is as toxic as Chernobyl, leadership as dishonest and deceitful as El Chapo, HR is as helpful as box load of bullhorns at a mime convention. The attrition rate is so high the doors revolve like an industrial fan, they will work you like an elephant in a circus and literally pay you peanuts but poke you with the proverbial electrical prod expecting you to perform more and more. You will wear so many hats you will look like the cat in the hat because the philosophy is "it's your place to do what you can even if you don't get paid for it"
The most recent comment made at the town hall meeting where all the S and C levels get to grandstand was " let's go preach the good news of Zelis" As though they have the right to reference the company in a biblical manner. There is nothing biblical about this place except maybe Judas Iscariot, Beelzebub, King Herod,-- you get the picture.
Consider yourself warned. This is not a place for anyone who has morals, integrity, or honesty. You will be eaten alive.
Manager (Former Employee) – Bedminster, NJ – February 26, 2019
This company will provide you with an optimal toxic learning experience if you've never encountered one in your entire life. I experienced from peers and management the very best behaviors such as deceit, intimidation, isolation, minimization, dodging issues, shame and guilt, changing expectations to set up employees to fail, and undermining abilities. Compensation scale inequity, managers are unable to see what their own staff makes, reasons behind this are that some staff members are making over 70k + while managers are under 55k. This company offers high-cost Medical/Vision/Dental administrated by an unreliable TPA. Stay healthy and pray you do not have an emergency visit. Subtle bullying and passive aggressive behavior that will leave you questioning your own perception. It is slow and insidious until the very end. No proper documentation, direction, policies, and training. You will find no support or mentoring from your immediate management, but only criticism. If you decide to get into this company do not be surprise if you start experiencing intimidation from the subordinates (borderline threating and confrontational) which is overlooked by upper management. You will feel unprotected since technically bullying is not considered harassment, so legally; people can get away with doing so at this place since there are no policies.
Advice to Management
Set clear standards, set a good example, practice servant leadership - the main goal of the leader is to serve. Invest in your people; your success depends on the success of others. Know when to pull themore... plug on someone - letting the cancerous employees dictate the rules at workplace prolongs the pain and suffering on the good ones. However, I know at the end of it; none of these suggestions will be considered.less
Dishonest-Unethical Company Doesn't care about employees
Provider (Former Employee) – Clearwater, FL – February 10, 2019
The fish rots from the head. CEO fosters an environment of crazy-making to the executives below him. The result is distracted leaders who in turn are rude and perpetually distracted by the demands being made on them. Middle-management and line employees don't feel heard or seen and get the brunt of the stress. The companies before they merged has amazing cultures and a sense of purpose and belonging.
Save yourself the headache and find another company there are much better companies out there that actually pay decent and pay the employees what is owed to them
Colleagues - Free coffee
Micromanaged, extremely low pay, cheated out of bonuses, people get fired for the same things others are doing but they are favored, Most unethical dishonest company
DOCUMENT RETRIEVAL SPECIALIST II (Current Employee) – Bedminster, NJ – January 28, 2019
An exciting company with a great goal oriented character. They care about their employees and their interests. Zelis advises them to learn more in order to keep going higher in their careers at Zelis. Casual dress or business casual is allowed as they believe as long as the employee is comfortable they will work better and are happier to report to work. Atmosphere is clear of anxiety vibes. Everyone is very friendly and there is laughter most of the time as everyone seems to be enjoying themselves at the same time they are working.
A highly respectful company with a mindful interest in their employers and employees.
Provider Relations Specialist (Former Employee) – New Jersey – January 26, 2019
Zelis is a complete mess. Leadership is only concerned about the bottom line. Ever since the new leadership was put into place about 7 months ago the morale has hit rock bottom and the company is about to implode. No communication between departments and no trust from employees toward leadership. None! All they do is lie and think that the employees are too stupid to figure things out. Discrimination, racism and favoritism
There are none. This seems hard to believe but it is true
Extremely low pay, low morale, benefits are costly especially for family, leadership is dishonest and very unscrupulous business practice.
Client Relations Coordinator (Current Employee) – Atlanta, GA – January 2, 2019
Zelis is a good company to work for. Employee satisfaction is very important to them. The work is easy. The only negative aspects of the job is that there are growing pains. The systems crash a lot which can make your job tedious. The compensation could be better especially for the area that we are in. And depending on where you want to go in the company advancement can be really hard.
Customer Service Billing Representative (Former Employee) – Bedminster, NJ – December 28, 2018
This is a productive and friendly environment that is also fast growing. There is tons of career stability and management loves to encourage employees to recommend their friends and family for positions.
My boyfriend worked there and was one of the best agents, they failed him. They even kept his sales tactics in the company but decided to audit him and a few others when it was management who allowed them to take over some accounts. They don’t care about you, they only care about making money for their company.
Data Entry (Former Employee) – Bedminster, NJ – October 15, 2018
This place has terrible management. Full of favoritism and unfairness. DO NOT WORK HERE. There is no room to grow and they harrass you. HR does not document your complaints about management and nothing is done. Then your treated worse til your forced to resign.
Client Relations Coordinator (Former Employee) – Atlanta, GA – June 26, 2018
Being a Customer Service Rep at Zelis is very stressful. Not enough time to fully assist a customer. Too many departments, systems, nothing is consistent and there is never anyone available when you need them. Each department within Zelis should have their own team of Customer Service Reps.
