Great culture and very supporting

Enjoyed working with great people and a commitment to quality. I felt like I was part of a team and nobody was playing the blame game. Manager was super bright and a great person.

Provided good benefits for employees

Working with Zimmer was great. They provided good benefits for their employees. But since they relocated the company to Spain and Florida, we don't have a choice but to look for another jobs. But overall, it was a great company to work for.

Zimmer Biomet, great company!

Working for Zimmer Biomet has been a great experience. The culture is focused on doing the right thing and making the highest quality product. Management supports employees and recognizes them for their hard work.

Productive, diversity great place to work

For me it was comfortable to work for Zimmer Dental I had the opportunity to grow professionally. The manager were very understandable in the permits when it was necessary.

Good job working with a microscope

Extremely Professional and Challenging

Working at Zimmer Dental was working among serious professionals. The job was Quality First (Manufacturing Dental Implants) and highly regulated by the FDA. The overall feeling was that of working together on a team to produce the best quality product with the highest standards possible. When the company started moving operations in 2015 to Spain and China the struggle was to maintain that same high quality we were all so used to. Zimmer Corporate was a wonderful company to work for (headquartered in Warsaw, IN.) I personally was very sorry that the Dental Division in Carlsbad, CA closed and moved operations.

Well chosen, smart management team with high standards.

Cons

During closing Quality decreased and working there became awkward.

Good, Team based

I was the once in charge in the cleaning department. I was responsible for inspecting and packaging for Dental Parts for quality, safety, and accuracy.

Very good company

Busy, it was a place for growth, a place of opportunities and I enjoyed working with customers and vendors. As a Receptionist I wore many hats and I enjoy working as receptioist

It was a great place to work at

It was a great place to work at. We had a cooperative culture and an excellence in quality improvements. The company is relocating to have a head quarter in Palm Beach Gardens Florida.

Short staffed, super busy

The demand was more than the factory could keep up with, planning was a challenge and layoffs happened all the time. I would normally come in at 6am and would not leave until 5 or 6 that day.

I loved working there.

It was a really good company to work for, but they shut down west coast operations and moved everything to the east coast. The culture was great and the management for myself in particular was fantastic, and I had almost 10 different managers in my time with the company.

Decent work place to work

Zimmer Dental has well established quality system, good procedures and well developed engineering test programs. Design controls were implemented through a systematic process.

Nice Small Place to Work

ZD was affected by CEO's decision. They want to shut it down and transfer facility to FL. Overall experience was good. Most of employees treat you professionally.

I have learn alot working with management and can get the job done can work with out the supervision.working alot of overtime when ask where I would work in other department when they need help.

Friendly People

I was always busy made day go fast liked that, learned many things in the packaging department due to that I was never doing the same thing everyday I do something different everyday. Management could use a little improvement, HR was very helpful, most co-workers are nice but others just aren't those like to gossip a lot and don't like to be team players.

Good company...moved to Florida.

Zimmer has great people but is moving to Palm Beach Gardens, FL and will close most operations in Carlsbad, CA in 2016. It was a good place to work but opportunities will be limited in CA in the future.

Challenging, rewarding, and a great environment to improve job skills

I feel very fortunate to work with an amazing and talented team, who are respectful and supportive of each other. We are led by a family-oriented manager that is very considerate of our personal life outside of work. We have on-going training and opportunities for personal growth with regards with work relationships and job skills. On a daily basis, I support both Submissions and Compliance within our Regulatory Affairs Department. With Submissions, I assist with preparations of documents, tracking and product releases to our international distributors. I also assist with tracking and filing our company’s promotional releases or marketing literature. With Compliance, I assist with internal audits as lead or team auditor, writing plans and reports. I also have the responsibility to create requisitions for purchases orders for our department needs. I notarize company and federal documents for our company’s notary requirements. I am also called upon to set up meetings and organize catering events. I love my job, and it is not only because I enjoy the contributions that I assist my team with, but because of the good people that I work with.

Building straight out of the 70s

They are so cheap they allow employees to work in a building with worn carpet (you can see the concrete!). The floor is coming up and it is a hazard. Absolutely no loyalty and they do not promote from within. Very low stress and slow pace. Top executives rarely interact with "common folks." It is a training ground for bigger and better places.
