Churn and Burn
Assistant Buyer (Current Employee) –  Seattle, WAMay 11, 2018
This workplace is completely comfortable with churning and burning employees. You'll notice higher level emplyees say "they always come back" but they don't (unless they're also high-level employees).
Training is minimal, but so are expectations.

Buyer Assistant (Former Employee) –  Whitehall, OHMay 9, 2018
It was a bunch of women selling a bunch of women and baby stuff. Its as what you expect. Lunch was great there was a different food truck that came every day. I worked for a temp agency so wasn't there long enough. As a transgender guy though, the women were nice but not friendly.

A typical day at Zulily was very fast-paced and sometimes stressful do to pick orders being really random at times. Taught me how to work at a fast-pace while practicing safety.

Pack/Ship Warehouse Associate (Current Employee) –  Obetz, OHApril 30, 2018
I was able to obtain first hand logistic knowledge of a company through my time at Zulily. I was able to exceed the requirements in productivity and earned the respect of my leaders/managers.

Large company with lots of turnover
Assistant Buyer Womens Merchandising (Current Employee) –  Seattle, WAApril 27, 2018
The company pays employees not nearly a livable salary in comparison to the cost of living in Seattle. Management will hold meetings in order to provide and receive feedback one of which is compensation, but the question is almost always immediately not up for debate. The work environment is like a high school many cliques. The management organization is sloppy and events happen quick paced but are typically last minute. I believe this company has a chance to become great, but is missing the solid business framework to help it succeed in an ever growing fast paced competitive e-commerce business.
Pros
Building is near waterfront on pier
Cons
Management Disconnect, Grossly Underpaid Employees

The management there are scared to hired people with bachelors degrees. Especially the new young overnight manager. They are racist. The management is unprofessional.

Op operator (Former Employee) –  Reno, NVApril 20, 2018
No room for advancement if you are not "part of the crew". They pic n choose who to keep on even tho some people always call in or dont even show up. If you are not part of " the crew" you will not last long.
Pros
Sometimes its fun

Short breaks

Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) –  Columbus, OHApril 3, 2018
Very friendly and well-paced. A focus on helping the customer with very little mention in the way of transactions. There is definitely an advantage to being nice and they reap the benefits from it daily.
Pros
Free lunches, parties and events, relaxed dress code.
Cons
Shifts are very rigid and don't allow much adjustment, a bit disorganized at times, lack of training in certain areas.

the job itself is not bad, its the management that make this job more difficult than it has to be. After a while it does start to wear on your body so its not a long term job. Its not fair, its unp

Warehouse Associate (Current Employee) –  Bethlehem, PAMarch 28, 2018
There's room for improvement. I can't take the 10 hour shifts and they force overtime weekly, so I'm working 50 hours a week with no time for anything else. The company has changed as it grew. I was there when they were getting started and liked it better back then.
Pros
Pay is decent
Cons
Short breaks, management

Tier 2 Customer Service Representative (Current Employee) –  Gahanna, OHMarch 18, 2018
There is a lot of favoritism and what started out as a fun wonderful company has now disappointingly went down hill and it makes me sad. No longer do they hold to the values that they once willed into our memories to live by. The work is not hard just go in work and leave and remember no one is your friend they are your co-workers.
Pros
Great pay.met some good people
Cons
Negative work enviorment, favoritism amongst managment

Order Picker (Former Employee) –  Groveport, OHMarch 16, 2018
I enjoyed everything about it though, HR isn't very understanding of medical problems. As a picker, work is very fast paced. A lot of the staff makes a competition with their friends to see who can get the highest numbers even. The hardest part for me was juggling the overnight shift.

Warehouse Team Lead (Current Employee) –  Bethlehem, PAMarch 8, 2018
While the manager that I had was reliable, the rest of the management staff tends to be all over the place when it comes to making decisions. Also most of the management staff has very limited experience such as several of them are between 22 and 25 years old.
Pros
Three days off every week
Cons
Limited chances to advance in the company.

It is a good place if you love warehouse work. It was not for me. Does not mean its not for somebody else. It was a long drive to get to warehouse. You will work long hours at this job. Or at least we used to. That was also hard.
Pros
You were busy with great pay
Cons
Long drive and long hours
