Actually they DO check credit. But the catch is it depends on your state laws, for instance, when I worked in Oregon, it was legal to check your credit.

There is some sort of a turnaround. It is as if companies experienced with jerking applicants around and slowly started to realize that it was not getting them too far ahead. But that's just an appearance.Reality could be different. It could be that there are more job openings (and real ones), where people are needed to fill positions right away. If so, this is a welcome sign, as it would mean there are more jobs today than just few months ago. It's also possible that we are few of the lucky ones...
Keep applying and be persistent. If its what you want keep trying. Doesn't sound like she would've been someone you'd want to work under anyways. Keep applying to different branches and maybe next interview you get there will be better chemistry with the boss: )
For those of you who have questions regarding the ASI process at BofA, please ask away! I will do my best to help out.
I am now on the step of completing my I-9 and I did my background check consent form but I read along there about credit checks? My credit is in the low 500s it's been bad for me! Will that affect my chances of employment? I'm really worried!
Hi All, I have a quick that I am eagerly waiting for an answer on. I went thru a contracting agency for an IT role with Bank of America. 2 interviews were done and they gave me an offer. Went thru the background completion and fingerprinting. gave the consent to BOA to run my background. And truthfully answered all the question. I completed my fingerprinting on July 12th 2019. And my recruiter - from the agency call me back on monday stating that BOA saw a redflag. (It was a DUI - 1st offence ba...
Hey all! I've been reading this forum constantly for the past few days.9/9 I filled out the online application. 9/18 I was then selected to do the assessment. 9/24 I got my phone interview. 9/25 I had a group interview. 9/29 they called me and offered me the position. 10/1 I filled out the ASI and scheduled my fingerprinting10/3 fingerprinting completed. Now it's 10/7 and I'm wondering how much longer until I get cleared.I do have a misdemeanor (non-theft related) but it's been dismissed/cleared...
I am in the same boat as you. I was a teller back in 97, I left bank of America because I joined the military. Since then I received my bachelors in finance and hold several investment licenses. I got hire last month with Merrill Lynch and a week before my start date, they rescind the offer because for the same reason. My hiring manager and recruiter are working hard and supporting my but I have to submit an eligibility for rehire request and then they will review it. How did yours go?
HELP PLEASE! I just accept the position for Relationships Manager, im missing the background and credit check, BUT i have a bankruptcy 7 four years ago, has someone got hired or Not because of this?
Hello guys. I recently was offer a position at BOA, so if you have any questions I will answer them because I know the stress during this difficult and anxious time
O yes I believe it to be a scam. I have been banking with BOA for several months and possess the same proof you have. I have confronted them on a number of ocasions and I am givin a pack of lies every time. The customer service told me once that I am at the mercy of the postal system as if they mail the physical checks and the await return confirmation....absurd...I once opened the current service agreement and ask an service agent a series of questions based on the black and white information I...
I took over a small business my sister had started because she wanted to pursue something else in her field, but we never did any formal paperwork to show that I managed/owned the whole business after she left and everything was still under her name, and then we decided to close it 7months later. Under work experience for the BofA application I put that I was the owner for that small business. Now would they look into that and say I wasn't technically the owner and was lying and not hire me......
Hi Marjorie, I feel that I was wrongfully terminated as well. I called advice and Counsel right after it happend and was told that they were researching it and it would take a "Few days" and they would get back to me however they have not gotten back to me. what would your advice be to me? I am so glad you got to be able to show "eligible for re-hire" and can work there again. I just want to show eligible for re-hire and be able to move on I was there 16 years! New management came in and th...
I was fired from First Data in 2017 for a stupid action on my part! I allowed my manager to log into my application and send it to a client- turn out he signed it though under my log in. I know I was wrong and rightfully let go. My dilemma- BAMS is now offering my employment and I am not sure I will pass background due to the relationships they have with FD.
I was interviewed via phone almost two weeks ago for an entry-level position at Bank of America. At the end of the interview, the interviewer sounded positive as the required qualifications matched up with my academic and professional background. I was told I should be contacted again around 1.5 weeks later if I was selected for the second round. It's been 1.5 weeks and I haven't heard anything from them. Have I been dropped from the process? Can anyone let me know about the hiring process of Ba...
I am currently going through the hiring process at B Of A. I have a couple class C misdemeanor convictions. What is the policy regarding hiring? Can you still get your securities license with misdemeanors?
Please Help my wife is ready to accept offer as assistant manager . The market manager and branch manager all have interviewed her and are in awe of her background and are excited to bring her on board. But she has a misdemeanor from 6 years ago that was deferred and was never convicted. our attorney told us it doesn't exist because it was deferred . even the recruiter is scrambling to get her on board . Should she disclosed this to her and be honest . Since the questions she will answer is " Ha...
I missed the call. They called at about 3:30 today (Friday) and I called back roughly 35 or 45 minutes later, but only got an answering machine. I left a message with my name and that I was returning a missed call in regards to a possible teller job. It's 5 o'clock and they did not call back. Did I miss my opportunity to work with Bank of America?
I got myself in some trouble over the last two years supporting my then girlfriend and now fiancee as she was going through her last two years of college. I have delinquent payments on two credit cards and a student loan and have been late on my car payment a couple times. I haven't checked my credit score in awhile but I'm sure it is pretty terrible.I did however just go through a phone interview for the Personal Banker position and have already filled out an application and taken the personali...
i was terminated from my last job for doing something that was against company policy (not stealing). i passed the group interview and the one on one interview with the branch manager. anyways i havent disclosed the information yet and am wondering if i dont mention it on the ASI will it rescind me from getting the job.when do you guys think the best time to disclose it would be, or should i not even worry about it.
I have applied for many jobs at BoA with no reply, I guess nobody care there. A simple yes or no would be better.
Does Bank Of America pay you right or away or do they hold a check? I start next week 🙂
I recently applied for a personal banker position with BOA, I got an email with the link to take the assessment, I did it and it's been a week without news. I would like to know If somebody knows how to get the results and how long does it takes after the assessment is done to call you back. Thanks a lot
No Conviction just a charge that has a next scheduled court date for 6 months from now. Charge is a misdemeanor. Will this prevent my employment for a customer service rep 2 job at a call center for Bank of America? Any feedback is appreciated
