I recently had some very strange dealings with Northrup Grumman (Xetron) in Cincinnati. They are trying to fill an INFOSEC role that requires a high degree of skill and experience along with the highest clearances to boot. After several email exchanges and phone conversations with a contract recruiter (not even an NG employee), it became very clear that these guys didn't understand the protocol. They bumbled along and eventually ticked me off to the point where I told them off. Working INFOSEC is...

Every business has it's own style. What is the office environment and culture like at Northrop Grumman? Are people dressed in business casual, jeans and t-shirts, or full-on suits? Do folks get together for Friday happy hours and friendly get-togethers?What is a typical day in the life of an employee at Northrop Grumman?
I applied for a job with NG and almost immediately the status said "under consideration by recruiter". The following morning it changed to "under consideration by hiring manager". I am wondering what your experience with time frame from applying to interviewing to actually starting the job (if you were one of the lucky ones). Also, what is NG like on interviewing out of state people?
What are the average starting salaries, bonuses, benefits and travel requirements like at Northrop Grumman? What do you like best about working at Northrop Grumman? Are there any great perks or special treats for employees?
I applied for a Northrop Grumman position. A few days later a recruiter emailed some questions. Like why I want a new position, when I'm available for an interview, am I willing to relocate etc... This was on Tuesday (4/23/2019). Today is Thursday 4/25/2019. Does this mean anything? If I don't hear back, does that mean they're not really interested? Thank you.
Do you work at Northrop Grumman? How did you find the job? How did you get that first interview?Any advice for someone trying to get in?
I submitted an application in the middle of November and received a call from a recruiter about a month later. We discussed the position and my background and then she invited me in for an interview. Since it was close to the holidays at this point, we decided that it would be best to wait until after the New Year to schedule anything. A few days later I received an email confirming what we had talked about she provided her contact information. After the holidays I waited about a week and hadn'...
I applied for a position at pax river and had a phone interview with the hiring manager, the interview went well and it seemed that the manager was happy and said that I'm one of the best candidates so far and should hear in a week. The interview was a week and a half ago but so far no response. Does anyone know what the time line for the response is? Is there a way to know if you got the job other than the status, because it still says interview on there.
I have an interview feedback pending status for a month now. Does it mean I didnt get the job?
I've sent at least 100 online applications to Northrup. I have yet to get a response. What does it take?
Hi everyone, I'm currently a senior in highschool that will be attending college in the fall. I applied to a few highschool level jobs/internships at Northrop Grumman that I believe I had the qualifications for. It has been over a month, and I am still "under consideration by recruiter." Is it basically impossible to get an interview without connections? If so, how am I suppose make connections? No one in my family works in the tech industry. What should I be doing to get considered by companies...
I have a question about background check. for example if someone has been arrested and the charges have been dropped later on, could this be one of the deciding factors for getting an employment offer assuming every other aspect went great?
Does anyone have experience negotiating starting salary at Northrop Grumman? I received a job offer from them on Monday, but the pay is about 15K less than what I deserve. I countered by email yesterday, and now I'm impatiently waiting for their response. I also have an offer from another company (which is offering more than NG), and they are putting pressure on me to give them a response by mid-next week. I'm mostly worried because I know how slow this process with NG is. I started the applicat...
I've applied for three jobs at NG. They were all nearly identical and actually appeared to be the same job posted in a slightly different way. Two of the jobs my status changed to "No longer under consideration." The third one, which I applied for later, is still (about 2 weeks now) under consideration by recruiter. I've never gotten to "Under consideration by hiring manager" even though my previous experience is nearly identical to the request. Are they posting the job just to get a specif...
No I have no idea what its like but I heard you would have to be on your P"S & Q'S .But I hope im ready if im chosen for the job I applied for .Thanks
Applied about 2 weeks ago and got a call to set up interview.I asked if we can reschedule to a later date but she said they are only conducting interviews that day. So, I go to their building and the hiring manager comes and gets me and we go to a room with the other managers. They spoke greatly about the position and what I will be doing. They only asked a few questions that were not hard and were the ones who are mainly speaking the whole time. I believe my interview and my answers were great....
but the link for the job no longer exists, does this mean the job is filled? even though it says this ..Administration Generalist 2 2/3/09 11:14 AM Hiring Manager Review
Here is a brief background on what has been going on in the past couple months:My USAF 4 year enlistment is nearing its end, thus I have been exploring my options in the civilian job world and I gotta tell you... it's a little scary. Thankfully, I still have a stable for for the next 2 months or so, but it's really coming down to the wire, and it seems a little difficult to get any type of response from anyone within NG. I realize they have thousands of applicants and during the process I'm pr...
I applied online last week to 3 different positions as a field tech for a weapon system I used to work on when I was in the Navy (just separated Dec 2013). I feel like I was definitely a worthy candidate based on the qualifications they posted, and my job status online currently says "under consideration by recruiter". I've been reading a lot of these forums and it seems that for most people, it takes anywhere between 2 and 6 months, if not more, to move up in the application process. Most pe...
I am interviewing soon for a financial analyst position, and I am curious as to what type of interview process NG is currently usually using. I think like most people I would prefer one on one as opposed to a panel interview. I was told the interview would last about an hour. How many rounds of interviews do you usually have to go through?
Hello, can anybody comment on what type of salary to expect at Baltimore, MD NG for a level 4 supply chain engineering job? I am expecting to get 110k at least. Is negotiation even a possibility or is the idea not entertained? If yes, any tips will be greatly appreciated. What is the culture in NG like? My manager will be based in a different city, is that common? What are the interviews like at NG?Thanks in advance.
Anyone have insight on the deployment lengths and pay range for FSR's on the anti-missile C-RAM positions?
Hello,I'm a fresh graduate from CSUF with a B.S. in Computer Science. I've been trying to get an interview with NG for about 6 months now, and no luck.I'm looking in the Los Angeles, orange county, and san diego area. Anybody have advice as to how to get that interview.Any suggestions would help.Thanks,I.L.
Northrop Grumman is running a background check on me for a position that I accepted. I have a dismissed charge from last year over a petty dispute with a family member. I assume that they will be able to see the dismissed charges, but will this cause my job offer to be revoked? The dismissal went through last August, and it's actually about a month away from being expunged altogether.
I am former military and am being considered for an overseas position in a hostile area. I was wondering if anyone knows if Northrop Grummon offers 6 month contracts or only annual?
