What is going on with their practice of collecting your SS# when you apply on the internet? This isn't common practice! And before the interview, they want you to take a personality test and a mechanical reasoning test.I thought that the interview was a time for both the employer and the job candidate to gather more information, in order to see if there was a good match. It seems that U-Haul collects more personal information about you than is customary!I'm not sure if this company has any resp...

What are the average starting salaries, bonuses, benefits and travel requirements like at U-Haul?What do you like best about working at U-Haul? Are there any great perks or special treats for employees?
I worked at Uhaul for 3 weeks as a E-hotline agent and it was the crappiest job I've ever had. You'd think working at home would be great but its not. Uhaul takes it upon themselves to treat you like garbage no matter where you are. The supervisors are imbeciles that are not qualified for their positions and Uhaul is constantly cheating their customers. I can't live with myself knowing that I work for an employer that leaves people and families stranded on dangerous highways due to there lack of...
Every business has it's own style. What is the office environment and culture like at U-Haul?Are people dressed in business casual, jeans and t-shirts, or full-on suits? Do folks get together for Friday happy hours and friendly get-togethers?What is a typical day in the life of an employee at U-Haul?
I may be interested in a job at a self storage place The kind that have on site housing Anyone have any advice on this Wha
I may be interested in a job at a self storage place. The kind that have on site housing. Anyone have any advice on this? What would be a similar job? Are there any sites on this? I am single. Do you have links to the job applications? Thank you. Tom
1) Online application questions:Tip: only choose a few "experience fields", the fewer you select the fewer aptitude test questions you will have to answer. There is no time limits on the questions, if you don't know an answer just look it up online.* You will need to pass the tests in order to even be considered for the position (if you did not get a call they either filled the position or you did not pass the tests).2) Couple / Team position:This job is meant for young / older couple, but they ...
Do you work at U-Haul? How did you find the job? How did you get that first interview?Any advice for someone trying to get in?
I sent in an application today, and was wondering how long it will take usually before I find out if I get the interview or not. They didn't provide too much information as for being accepted or not, thanks.
Anyone out there done this? I'm guessing it doesn't make more than $9/hr but I'm applying for this position. Its the job where you drive their vehicles to and from maintenance within a region. Its part time. Let me know what you know about this. I'll post my experiences if I get hired and someone reminds me by replying to the thread.
This will cause you to lose all your data. However it wont tell you til the end of the application that it timed out in the past. So if you start typing in your data, have it all in front of you and don't take a break. It only asks for your last 2 addresses, 5 jobs, so its not too detailed in terms of histories. Also be able to paste a cover letter and resume in. But don't lose all your work! You have been warned, the start screen will not tell you this!Worst design, ever!
Employment with UHaul of Sacramento is the worst mistake anyone could make. Frank Stadenrous, President of UHaul of Sacramento is the absolute worst manager I have ever seen. He manages by intimidation and the atmosphere of the area is one of fear on a daily basis for your job. There is no support or training and the pay is lousy.
Who does that.. your job is on the line day after day... basically in fear you will get axed.. and when u decide you have had enough, you do the right thing. give proper notice AND they still dont pay you.. I am in process of contacting the labor board AND the EEOC.. the grueling hours they make you work 40 paid 20 off the clock is AGAINST the law..

I applied for this and was contacted by email for an interview. I had assumed based on the ad and the email that hours and pay could be negotiated. But during the interview, I was told it was 20 hours per week and that it would not pay more than $9.00 per hour. I was miffed. They should have just put that in the ad.
Storage marketing clerk position is advertised repeatedly but Uhaul is not not hiring for this position. It is strictly bait and switch. They are only looking for part ime weekend help at minimum wage with no benefits.
It's always hard to know what to expect when going in for that interview -- and preparation can make all the difference. What is the interview process like at U-Haul?Any advice on striking the right note?
What do you think -- is this company going to survive and thrive? Are they looking to expand their staff, or do you think layoffs are inevitable? How does U-Haul stack up against the competition?
didn,nt get paid,,,,,,,,APOLLO
this employers stink...
I would caution every one to look at other moving sources before using U Haul. I wont get into details, unles forced to. However, they tend not to honor contractual obligations and if there is any type of dispute their supposed management [Area President] will treat you with dis-respect. STAY AWAY!
I applied for this job last month, 8 bucks and some change phI was told by the manager in southfield, MI Kurt, he was not allowed to hire any one-so this maybe a false ad
Has anyone ever been employed by U-haul as an E-hotline Agent? If so please tell me a little bit about it.
Anyone know about this company? How are the interviews. Would this be a good place to work?
What is the deal with U-haul and the rude attitude toward prospective employees. I called the office in Richmond to inquire about the position, mainly how much it pays but was in turn treated as if I were a spy and met with utter secrecy. I was not given any information at all about anything.
