I'm 17 and I want a job as a teacher's assistant. However, every place I apply to is not calling me back and it's stressing me out. I don't have much experience, I was in a child growth and development class my junior year of high school, and I'm trying to get into babysitting but, again, no one wants to hire me because I have little experience. Is it because I don't have experience? Or am I doing something else wrong?
I am currently looking for possible job.
I would like to work with young children, but it's hard to find a job.
I have an interview for kindergarten aide for a school district next week. The principal said I will have to do a task which will last for 25 minutes, then the interview for 20 minutes. I do not know what to expect from this task. I have worked at elementary schools, but not kindergarten. Any advice?
I applied for a job at Tutor Time and they're hiring. After five days, I got an email saying that thank you for your intrest but they decided to go individuals that match the job positions but they'll keep my resumes. I'm in college but still looking for a part time job. I'm going to keep applying. Should i just give up and just keep focusing on school? I really need a job.
I have been trying to get into the school system since I graduated in 1994. (teacher's assistant). I have gotten a few interviews but nothing comes of them. Please give me some advice s to what I am doing wrong.

Joan, unfortunately a CDA is not going to get anyone anything over about 9.00 an hr. I know that sucks, but CDA is a good start, but it doesnt make the pay go up to much. I would suggest that you keep going to school to get your AA and BS in Early Childhood and work in Early Headstart to get the pay that you want. I am a toddler teacher with my CDA and I am making 8.25, I am working on my full degree in Elementary ed. Hope this helps.
Is this site where I could possibly meet, chat and exchange notes with other TAs on the same or similar boat? Thank you.
