How can a person find work as a CNA 1 if no one will hire them because they don't have the 1-year experience most companies require? Thanks for any help you can give us. What ideas would you suggest for this student who just passed the course and state tests? She has minimal clinical experience required during the course, but that's the only experience she has.
I'm a cna and have been since 1985. I've gone through training two times. Because I let my license expire the first time. I had to retake it all over again.Every job that I look at you have to have med tech too.
Does anyone know where I can get information about transferring my certification to Virginia from New York. Website or telephone numbers any info will be of help.
Hey guys did you know that if Persons with 51 months equivalent experience (51 months in an acute care facility), and a 54 hour pharmacology course may be eligible to take the LVN board exam. This course is designed to meet the 54 hour pharmacology requirement for eligibility. But you need to take a Pharmacology Course. I took this one and did well learnga.com/Pharmacology.aspx Now I'm thinking of taking a bridge program to RN.
i'm getting ready to register for nursing classes. i haven't worked in the nursing home for nearly two years and my stna liscense has expired. do i need to go through the classes again to have my liscese reinstated, or can i just take the test over?
Is the CNA state test hard.... I think the written test would be fine...but i dont know about the skills...kinda of nervous...
Hi all, I was super nervous about passing the skills portion of the exam (the written part is super easy). I ended up passing on my 1st try & wanted to pass along what I did incase it helps someone else! 🙂1.) The main thing is to STUDY, obviously. Read the handbook & really know the steps to the skills. I would take my handbook with me everywhere & read it whenever I had down time (even when I was with friends) in addition to carving out time especially for studying. There are numerous videos o...
Is the actual exam really close to the resources we see online?
Hi, I am looking for free CNA training classes or courses so that I can become one. I am currently a senior in high school so please keep that in mind. Thank you!
So I've been a CNA for four months and I'm wondering how long does it take to become good at being a CNA?
interested in taking cna classes.
Do cnas get paid incentive for coming in on their days off in Houston,TX?
I just moved to Oregon from Florida and have to take the CNA exam. I completed a program in Florida but the skills on the Oregon test are different. I cannot find any videos that are specific to the Oregon test. I noticed they don’t mention using a bath blanket or chucks during peri care and such. Do I still need to do this as we did in Florida? Also is it required to raise the bed rail each time a patient is being turned?
can someone give me some infomation on this question.
I've been a CNA for about a month now & I work for a home health agency. I basically sit at this old couples house & cook them breakfast & do light cleaning. I change him twice in a day & she is continent. The remainder of my shift I am relaxing on the sofa, reading books, on my laptop (I'm writing this at work actually), etc. I know at nursing homes you have 10-15 patients to yourself & you are expected to somehow feed/change all of those patients in one shift. It sounds like so much work. I'm ...
Does anyone have the super secret contact to file an appeal to a grievance? I have received a response to my appeal with Pearson which took over 35 BUSINESS days which was a copy of the results and to refer to the handbook. I have suspicions about an investigation of skills test based on process that does not have supporting proof of an individuals failure to announce each step. The items marked as failed on my skills examination were performed but marked as not so. The process followed by Pear...
Hi so I was wondering if anyone has failed the CNA written competency test by 1 point? Yesterday I completed my skills portion and competency test. Today I had finally received an email telling me my given scores. I found out I passed the skills portion, but I failed the competency portion by one point. The cut off score was 77% and I got a 76%. I plan to retake it, but now I’m wondering if it’s even worth it...
I would appreciate some honest opinions. I have been unemployed for a year now and there are no jobs in my area. There seem to be plenty of opportunities for CNA's. I am 59 and in perfect health. I have looked at the training materials and it looks doable. Heavy lifting might be an issue. Light lifting O.K. Do you think I am too old to consider going back to school? Thanks
I work part time at the largest hospital in my state.I make $22 an hour. I really love the job, but making $1500 a month working part time. Paying close to $60 a week on gas, $15005 a week on parking, and my car mileage reaching it's limit is it worth it I ask myself. Can drive more days down to work, but again I ask myself is it worth it.I can get a CNA/Multi Skilled tech job if I take a 4 week CNA class coming up early fall. I can find a job they guaranteed by the end of the class. I figure th...
My wife just got on the CNA registry here in NC, but all the jobs she's finding pay like $9.00 and hour.. She makes $12.00/Hr at Walmart..She's still considering CNA-2 and making it a fallback career.I thought this was crazy because CNA work is way way way harder that a restaurant or department store..
I took the hha class on Floridahhaonline.com and I think they're a scam.I emailed them numerous times and no one responded. I finished everything and still no response. I wouldn't recommend this website to anyone.
I work as a home health aide and always indoors with my clients, i'd like to take my CNA online. anybody know schools that do CNA online?
