If you work for a GC familiarize yourself with the Specifications on the project which are listed as divisions of the project for i.e. division 3 Concrete, 14 Elevators. Not all Spec books are the same but it will help you once you get to met the subs for each project; read one of the contracts you may not be the one to draw it but giving yourself the idea on the general condition between GC and Sub or GC and Owner will help.
